Position Summary

We are seeking a motivated, customer-focused Inside Sales Representative to join our growing team. Reporting to the Operations Manager, this role plays a key part in driving sales growth by building strong customer relationships, responding to inquiries, preparing accurate quotes, and ensuring an exceptional customer experience from initial contact through order fulfillment.

This position partners closely with outside sales representatives, vendors, and internal departments to deliver timely solutions while identifying opportunities to grow existing customer relationships. The ideal candidate thrives in a fast-paced environment, enjoys solving customer challenges, and takes pride in providing outstanding service.

Key Responsibilities

Serve as the first point of contact for customer inquiries via phone and email.
Prepare accurate and timely customer quotations.
Follow up on quotes and sales opportunities to help drive revenue growth.
Communicate product availability, lead times, pricing, payment procedures, and delivery expectations.
Source products and components from vendor partners.
Process customer orders, including purchase orders and credit card transactions.
Create purchase orders and coordinate product procurement with vendors.
Work closely with vendors to ensure accurate and timely shipments.
Build lasting customer relationships through proactive communication and follow-up.
Identify opportunities to upsell or cross-sell products and services that add value for customers.
Collaborate with outside sales and internal teams to resolve customer questions and ensure a seamless experience.
Maintain accurate customer and order records.
Support additional sales and operational initiatives as needed.

Qualifications

High school diploma or equivalent (associate's or bachelor's degree is a plus).
Minimum of 1 year of experience in inside sales, customer service, or account support.
Strong verbal and written communication skills.
Excellent interpersonal and relationship-building abilities.
Highly organized with exceptional attention to detail.
Strong problem-solving and negotiation skills.
Ability to prioritize multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment.
Proficiency with Microsoft Office and CRM or ERP systems is preferred.
Demonstrated ability to meet or exceed sales goals while delivering outstanding customer service.

Supervisory Responsibilities: None

Work Environment: Office and warehouse environment.

Physical Requirements:

Prolonged periods of sitting while working at a computer.
Occasionally lift or move up to 40 pounds.

Travel: Less than 10%; occasional travel as business needs require.
