Account Executive – Non-Commercial Foodservice

The Opportunity

Non-commercial foodservice is a complex business—and understanding how organizations like healthcare systems, colleges and universities, contract management companies, and GPOs make decisions takes experience.

We’re looking for an Account Executive, Non-Commercial Foodservice who understands that world and is ready to help shape what comes next at Clemens Food Group.

You’ll own and grow relationships with national and select regional customers while identifying new opportunities across this expanding channel. Whether your experience comes from selling into non-commercial organizations or working within the purchasing side of the industry, you’ll bring the customer knowledge, urgency, and strategic thinking needed to turn opportunities into sustainable growth.

What You’ll Do

Develop and execute strategic account and growth plans for priority non-commercial customers.
Build relationships with customers, target accounts, and key decision-makers while maintaining an active pipeline of new opportunities.
Lead customer RFPs, business reviews, meetings, tours, and other strategic engagements.
Understand customer priorities and connect them with relevant Clemens Food Group capabilities and solutions.
Partner across R&D, Sales Finance, Category Management, Sales, and other teams to bring customer opportunities to life.
Manage account budgets and forecasts and monitor performance against expectations.
Bring market, customer, and competitive insights back to the organization to help strengthen our broader non-commercial strategy.
Serve as a resource to sales teams pursuing non-commercial opportunities.

What You’ll Bring

Bachelor’s degree from a four-year college or university.
4–6+ years of food sales, marketing, account management, purchasing, or related experience with a strong customer focus.
Meaningful experience with the non-commercial foodservice channel, ideally at the corporate or contracting level.
Understanding of the relationships among manufacturers, distributors, operators, GPOs, and contract management companies.
Experience working with or selling to large contract management companies, GPOs, or similar organizations is highly valuable.
Strong strategic account management, communication, analytical, and project management skills.
A proactive approach, sense of urgency, attention to detail, and consistent follow-through.
Contract management and negotiation experience is preferred.

Location & Working Type

This is a primarily remote position, east-coast preferred, with your home serving as your home base. Travel is approximately 25% and includes customer visits, industry events and food shows, and visits to Clemens Food Group locations.
