Full Job Description

JOB SUMMARY:

Ethos Engineering is a full-service consulting engineering firm looking for an interested and qualified Mechanical Designer with experience in HVAC systems to support design of commercial and institutional building systems. The position is in Harlingen, TX. We specialize in providing mechanical, electrical, plumbing and commissioning engineering services for all types of commercial building projects. Ethos utilizes BIM and CAD software (Autodesk Revit and AutoCAD) in developing coordinated construction documents. The ideal candidate is production-ready and proficient in Revit and able to support production immediately.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

Develop HVAC layouts including ductwork and piping
Assist with load calculations and system sizing
Support equipment selection and system design
Coordinate with electrical, plumbing and architectural teams
Prepare construction documents

MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS:

3-7+ years of HVAC design experience
Strong proficiency in AutoCAD and Revit
Experience with RTUs, split systems, and chilled water systems
Basic understanding of IMC and IECC

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:

Experience with public sector projects
Exposure to central plant or chilled water systems
CAD: 5 years (Preferred)
Revit: 3-5 years (Required)
AutoCAD: 3-5 years (Required)
License/Certification: Driver's License and any certifications (Preferred)

ADDITIONAL NOTE: This is not an entry-level position. Candidate must be ready to contribute to production immediately.
