Title: Activity Director

Location: Symphony Maple Crest, Belvidere, IL

Status: Full Time

Shift: 830am to 5pm

We are seeking a compassionate and energetic Activity Director to join our team in providing engaging and meaningful activities for residents in our facility. This role offers an opportunity to make a positive impact on residents' quality of life by designing and implementing diverse recreational programs that promote socialization, mental stimulation, and physical well-being.

Key Responsibilities:

Develop, coordinate, and lead a variety of recreational activities tailored to residents' interests and abilities
Assess residents' needs and preferences to create personalized activity plans
Foster a welcoming and inclusive environment that encourages participation and social interaction
Collaborate with staff, families, and healthcare professionals to ensure activities support residents' overall well-being
Maintain activity schedules, records, and documentation in compliance with facility policies and regulations
Organize special events and celebrations to enhance community engagement
Monitor and evaluate the effectiveness of activities, making adjustments as needed to maximize participation and enjoyment

Skills and Qualifications:

Proven experience in activity planning, preferably in a long-term care or senior living setting
Strong interpersonal and communication skills
Creativity and enthusiasm for engaging diverse populations
Ability to assess residents' needs and adapt activities accordingly
Knowledge of safety protocols and regulations related to recreational activities
Certification in activity coordination is required
Compassionate, patient, and respectful attitude towards residents
