About Hybrid Homeschool Academy
Hybrid Homeschool Academy (HHA) is a family-directed homeschool support program that gives learners structure, instructional guidance, accountability, small-group community, and meaningful learning experiences. Families provide curriculum and remain the homeschool provider; HHA partners with them through facilitation, conferencing, personalized pathways, feedback, and creative Academic Lab experiences.
The Opportunity
HHA is not looking for someone to recreate a traditional classroom on a smaller scale. We need a skilled, imaginative educator who can guide, observe, adapt, and create. The Lead Learning Facilitator will lead HHA's two-day instructional flow, support learners across grade levels, direct the Learning Assistant, and turn the HHA framework into an engaging, calm, and coherent experience.
What You Will Do
- Lead the daily Academic Lab flow, including skill instruction, learner conferencing, curriculum work, hands-on inquiry, collaboration, and reflection.
- Support students in grades K-12 through flexible groupings, family-selected curricula, and differentiated pathways based on skill, evidence, learning need, and lesson purpose.
- Facilitate creative Discovery and Wonder experiences that invite curiosity, problem-solving, discussion, design, and meaningful use of materials.
- Establish clear routines that build student independence, responsibility, confidence, and academic stamina.
- Observe and document growth through concise daily snapshots, conferences, work samples, and progress notes.
- Guide the Learning Assistant, coordinate materials and transitions, and maintain a safe, welcoming, well-organized learning environment.
- Collaborate closely with HHA's Executive Director, contribute ideas, and help strengthen systems as the program grows.
Preferred Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in education, child development, or a related field preferred; strong relevant experience will be considered.
- At least two years of experience in teaching, tutoring, homeschooling, intervention, enrichment, or youth programming preferred.
- Confidence supporting foundational reading, writing, and mathematics, along with the ability to guide older students through independent curriculum work.
- Teaching license or certification is welcomed but not required.
- Creative, warm, firm, flexible, and observant, with clear communication, follow-through, comfort using digital tools, and respect for family partnership.
- Consistent Tuesday and Wednesday availability, punctuality, and the ability to pass a background check.
Compensation and Growth
This part-time position pays $15-$20 per hour. Starting pay will reflect education, experience, instructional skill, creativity, leadership capacity, and fit with HHA's model. Additional hours or responsibilities may become available as enrollment grows.
