KALEIDO Behavioral Health is seeking a compassionate, collaborative, and clinically strong Part-Time Board Certified Behavior Analyst (BCBA) to join our growing team.
Our BCBAs provide individualized, family-centered ABA services across home, clinic, school, and community settings. We are looking for a clinician who values high-quality care, ethical practice, meaningful collaboration, and treatment that is responsive to each child and family's unique needs.
Part-Time | Exempt | Salaried
Compensation: $75,000-$80,000 annually, paid biweekly.
Expected Clinical Workload: Minimum 18-20 billable hours per week!
Location: Central O'ahu (Home, Clinic, Community).
Growth: Opportunity to grow into a full-time position as the region and caseload continue to expand our Central O'ahu region.
What You'll Do
As a BCBA at KALEIDO, you will oversee the clinical care of an assigned caseload while providing supervision and support to Registered Behavior Technicians (RBTs) and caregivers.
Key responsibilities include:
- Conduct initial and ongoing skill assessments using validated, evidence-based assessment tools.
- Conduct Functional Behavior Assessments (FBAs) and develop clinically appropriate Behavior Intervention Plans (BIPs).
- Develop individualized, measurable skill acquisition and behavior-reduction programs.
- Analyze client data and make evidence-based modifications to treatment protocols.
- Complete treatment plans, reassessments, and authorization requests within required payer timelines.
- Ensure programming addresses generalization and maintenance across home, clinic, school, and community environments.
- Provide ongoing supervision, coaching, and performance feedback to assigned RBTs in accordance with BACB and payer requirements.
- Conduct RBT competency assessments, treatment integrity checks, and ongoing clinical evaluations.
- Provide structured caregiver training based on authorized hours and individualized treatment goals.
- Collaborate with caregivers, educators, physicians, and other providers to support continuity of care.
- Participate in IEP meetings, care coordination meetings, and interdisciplinary collaboration as clinically appropriate.
- Maintain accurate and timely documentation within Alpaca Health, including completion of session notes within 24 hours of service delivery.
- Maintain appropriate supervision records, including data reviewed, clinical recommendations, feedback, and training provided.
- Maintain compliance with HIPAA, BACB ethical requirements, payer standards, credentialing requirements, and KALEIDO policies.
- Participate in required staff meetings, trainings, and professional development activities.
Required:
- Master's degree or higher in Applied Behavior Analysis, Psychology, Education, or a related field.
- Active BCBA certification in good standing with the BACB.
- Active Hawaiʻi state behavior analyst license (LBA).
- Minimum one year of supervised ABA experience; experience working with individuals with ASD preferred.
- Strong knowledge of BACB supervision standards, clinical documentation requirements, and HIPAA.
- Ability to independently manage a clinical caseload and meet documentation and authorization deadlines.
- Strong communication and collaboration skills with caregivers, supervisees, and interdisciplinary team members.
- Reliable transportation, valid driver's license, and minimum state-required automobile insurance.
- Ability to maintain reliable attendance and punctuality.
- Ability to pass required background screening, including criminal history, sex offender registry, and OIG exclusion screening.
- Commitment to ethical, culturally responsive, collaborative, and family-centered care.
Preferred:
- Experience with electronic health record (EHR) systems.
- Experience providing services across home, clinic, and community environments.
Clinical Supervision
BCBAs are responsible for providing ongoing supervision to assigned RBTs in accordance with current BACB and applicable payer requirements.
Responsibilities include:
- Providing structured clinical coaching and performance feedback.
- Conducting competency assessments and treatment integrity checks.
- Ensuring RBT implementation of treatment protocols with fidelity.
- Maintaining accurate supervision documentation.
- Providing in-person supervision across home and clinic environments, with remote supervision utilized where clinically appropriate and permitted by applicable standards.
Documentation & Ethical Standards
KALEIDO places a strong emphasis on ethical clinical practice and high-quality documentation. BCBAs are expected to:
- Complete clinical documentation within established organizational and payer timelines.
- Maintain BCBA certification and Hawaiʻi licensure in good standing.
- Complete required continuing education and renewals proactively.
- Immediately report changes to credentialing or licensure status.
- Follow mandatory reporting requirements for suspected abuse, neglect, or exploitation.
- Maintain appropriate professional boundaries with clients and families.
- Protect client confidentiality and comply with HIPAA and the current BACB Ethics Code.
Physical Requirements
This position may require the ability to:
- Sit, stand, walk, and move for extended periods.
- Lift and carry up to 50 pounds.
- Participate in active, play-based clinical sessions.
- Physically prompt or block when clinically necessary and consistent with approved safety protocols.
- Work safely within varied home, clinic, school, and community environments.

1. Paid Time Off: Part-Time BCBAs are eligible for 3 weeks of paid time off (PTO), inclusive of sick time, following 90 days of employment and provided the employee remains in good standing.

5: Health, Dental & Vision Benefits (Kaiser Permanente): KALEIDO provides qualifying medical insurance coverage to eligible employees in accordance with Hawaiʻi's Prepaid Health Care Act and applicable plan requirements. Eligible employees who work at least 20 hours per week for four consecutive weeks and satisfy applicable statutory earnings requirements will be offered qualifying health coverage. KALEIDO contributes 60% toward the cost of eligible employee medical coverage, subject to applicable law and plan terms.
