Full Job Description

Possible Job Titles Include

Accountant I, Staff Accountant

Full Charge Bookkeeper

Responsibilities will include:

Working closely with assigned Team, Supervisors, and Managers
Mentoring and helping the Junior accountants assigned to your team
Preparing all necessary business and tax returns
Following firm-wide working paper preparation and retention protocols
Researching tax questions and issues in order to provide accurate tax assessment
Explain and cross-promote other tax, accounting, and entity services based on client's needs
Bookkeeping and data entry to create financial statements
Promptly answering incoming telephone calls
Reconciling bank accounts and credit cards
Classifying daily transactions
Posting journal entries
Processing payroll
Preparing and filing General Excise Tax
Pulling periodic reports
Assisting with the preparation of tax workpapers
Maintaining clients' accounting systems (i.e. QuickBooks)
Promptly returning email messages
Being a positive and productive team member by encouraging others and doing your best to achieve company goals
Attending all scheduled meetings
Accepting responsibility for mistakes and learn from them, and point out when you don't understand something or when you receive conflicting information
Maintaining a positive and productive work setting

Qualifications Include:

Excellent communication skills (verbal, written, professional)
Proficient in Microsoft Office
Proficient in QuickBooks
Ability to learn new computer software
Ability to work in a fast-paced team environment
Ability to meet deadlines with a positive attitude
Ability to problem solve and stay self motivated
Ability to lead and be a positive mentor within your team
BA in Accounting required, or in progress is ok
Two years accounting experience required

Other

Compensation: $60,000 to $80,000 a year depending on experience

Paid time off for major holidays outside of tax season

Full time employees are eligible for most benefits after 30 days'
