A Lead Framing Carpenter is responsible for leading and performing a variety of carpentry and construction tasks on residential projects while supervising field personnel and subcontractors to ensure work is completed safely, efficiently, and according to company quality standards. This position serves as the primary on-site leader and liaison between the project team, subcontractors, and homeowners. Requires a highly organizational process with extensive construction experience of reading blueprints, withing with clients and subcontractors. The role is a vital part of ensuring projects are executed accurately.
Duties and responsibilities
· Lead and supervise daily activities of carpenters, laborers and subcontractors on construction projects
· Perform skilled carpentry work including framing, finishing, siding, decking, window/door installation and remodeling tasks
· Read and interpret blueprints, plans, written and verbal directions to required specifications
· Coordinate project schedules and ensure work progress is within timelines and budgets
· Communicate project updates, concerns, issues and progress
· Teamwork relationship with subcontractors, along with holding subcontractors accountable
· Strong communication with Foreman and/or Project Managers (PM’s) on all aspects of each project
· Identify and resolve job site issues and recommend solutions to maintain project schedules
· Project Managers schedules up and completed before specific deadline
· Positive and respectful balance with employee relations, Foreman, PM’s and team
· Complete project documentation, daily reports and time records as required
· Maintain a clean and organized environment that ensures a safe job site
· Perform other duties as assigned
Qualification
· 2+ years of carpentry experience required, 1 year as lead role preferred
· Residential experience and knowledge of building materials, ordering and scheduling
· Strong ability to read and interpret blueprints and project specifications
· Strong communication, mathematical, organizational and time-management skills
· Ability to foster a positive team atmosphere
· Perform physically/demanding work on a consistent basis, including tight deadlines
· Highly organized with efficiency
· Valid driver license with good driving record

· Ability to stand, and walk for entire workday
· Able to work in all types of weather conditions, including extreme temperature and elements
· Ability to lift and carry up to 100 pounds occasionally
· Ability to lift and carry up to 50 pounds regularly
