Full Job Description

Our client, a global specialty retailer, is seeking a Senior Distribution & Deployment Analyst to join its International Distribution & Deployment team supporting womens wear categories . This role is ideal for an analytical merchandising or inventory planning professional with experience in inventory deployment, merchandise planning, or allocation within a retail environment.

As a key member of the team, you will execute inventory deployment strategies that optimize store inventory, maximize sales opportunities, and support financial objectives across international retail markets. You will partner closely with Merchandise Planning & Allocation, cross-functional business partners, and global teammates to analyze inventory performance, support forecasting, and identify opportunities to improve deployment strategies.

Key Responsibilities

Execute pre-season and in-season inventory deployment strategies to support store inventory and sales performance.
Analyze inventory, demand, and sales trends to optimize inventory placement across stores and markets.
Partner with Merchandise Planning & Allocation teams to generate reporting and analytics that support inventory initiatives and business decisions.
Participate in floorset planning, inventory forecasting, demand alignment, and size-selling analysis.
Identify assortment and deployment opportunities and recommend improvements based on business performance and emerging trends.
Generate recurring and ad hoc reports to support inventory management and strategic planning.
Analyze store-level feedback and callouts to identify inventory opportunities and operational improvements.
Collaborate with domestic and international cross-functional teams to ensure alignment with inventory strategies and business objectives.
Maintain clear, effective communication with global partners to support execution and operational excellence.
Contribute to special projects focused on improving deployment processes and reporting efficiencies.

Qualifications

Bachelor's degree or equivalent combination of education and experience.
3–5 years of experience in merchandise planning, inventory deployment, allocation, or a related retail planning function.
Previous experience supporting international retail markets is preferred.
Advanced Microsoft Excel skills, including data analysis and reporting.
Experience with retail planning and allocation systems such as JDA Allocation, MSI (MicroStrategy), SAP, Manugistics, or Salesforce is highly preferred.
Strong analytical, quantitative, and problem-solving abilities.
Excellent organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
Strong verbal and written communication skills.
Self-motivated with the ability to work independently while collaborating effectively across global teams.

Preferred Qualifications

Hands-on inventory deployment or allocation experience.
Experience owning a merchandise category or business segment.
Familiarity with size selling analysis and inventory optimization strategies.
Experience leveraging reporting tools to improve deployment decisions and business performance.
Ability to quickly learn new systems and adapt to changing business priorities.
