Full Job Description

Position Summary

We are seeking a skilled Real Estate Legal Assistant to join a national law firm's Las Vegas team. This role would be a 3-6-month contract, with the possibility of turning into a permanent position. This role will support a dynamic team of 3-4 partners in transactional real estate matters. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in transaction law, with a preference for experience in commercial real estate. This is a fully on-site position. If the role transitions to a regular full-time position, it would become eligible for the firm's standard hybrid schedule for Legal Administrative Assistants (three days in the office and two days remote).

Key Responsibilities

Provide comprehensive administrative support to assigned attorneys.
Manage and maintain attorney calendars
Prepare, format, and proofread legal documents
Secretary of State filings, closing document support, and recording documents with the Recorder's Office
Litigation support or cross-coverage
Track billable hours and assist with time entry and expense reporting.

Qualifications

Minimum of 5 years of legal assistant experience supporting attorneys in a law firm setting.
Proven experience with transactional law; commercial real estate experience is strongly preferred.
Experience with Secretary of State filings and recording documents with the Recorder's Office
Strong knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite (especially Word and Outlook).
Excellent written and verbal communication skills, organizational skills, and attention to detail.
Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
Must currently reside in the Las Vegas metro area; out-of-state applicants will not be considered.

Compensation and Benefits

The firm is offering an hourly wage of $33.66-$38.47/hour
