Job Description

The Senior Project Manager (PM) is responsible for leading the execution of complex architectural millwork projects from contract award through project closeout. This role oversees project planning, budgeting, scheduling, engineering coordination, fabrication, installation, and client communication to ensure projects are completed safely, on schedule, within budget, and to the highest quality standards. The Senior PM serves as a key leader within the organization, collaborating across departments while building strong relationships with customers, general contractors, vendors, etc.

This position offers significant autonomy and the opportunity to lead high-profile ornamental metal projects while working alongside an experienced leadership team. Clear communication, sound decision-making, and strong leadership are essential for success in this role.

Duties/Responsibilities

Lead projects from kickoff through closeout while meeting budget, schedule, quality, and customer expectations.
Review contracts, estimates, and project documents to identify scope, risks, and cost impacts before execution.
Manage project budgets, forecasts, billing, and Percentage of Completion (POC) reporting.
Coordinate with Engineering to ensure accurate and timely shop drawings and project detailing.
Review shop drawings, material schedules, and procurement plans to identify cost and schedule risks.
Develop and maintain project schedules, including updates to General Contractors.
Lead coordination meetings with Sales, Engineering, Manufacturing, Installation, and executive leadership.
Solicit, evaluate, and manage installation subcontractors, including bid reviews, contracts, and invoice approvals.
Monitor field operations with the Installation Manager to ensure projects remain on schedule and within budget.
Conduct regular jobsite visits to monitor progress, quality, safety, and customer satisfaction.
Coordinate preconstruction meetings, material deliveries, and production schedules with internal teams.
Maintain accurate project documentation, ERP (TOP) records, change orders, and closeout documentation.
Collaborate with General Contractors on Design Assist projects and proactively resolve budget or scope issues.
Travel to project sites as needed.
Mentor and support new Project Managers.
Perform other duties as assigned.

Required Skills/Abilities

Ability to interpret construction drawings, specifications, and contract documents.

Proficiency with Microsoft Office, project management software, and ERP systems.

Education and Experience

High School Diploma or GED required.
Bachelor's degree in Construction Management, Engineering, Business, or a related field preferred.
PMP certification or equivalent project management certification is a plus.
Minimum five years of Project Management experience in commercial construction, specialty contracting, or ornamental/architectural metals.
Seven to ten years of commercial construction experience preferred.
Experience managing engineering, fabrication, procurement, and field installation activities.

Physical Requirements

Ability to work at a computer for extended periods.
Ability to regularly visit active construction sites.
Occasionally lift up to 50 pounds.
Travel to local and out-of-town project sites as required.
