Full Job Description

Family Law Paralegal

Salary: $40,000 - $70,000 per year (commensurate with experience)

Hill Law Office is a growing local law firm serving Western North Carolina from two office locations. We are seeking an experienced Family Law Paralegal to join our team and provide support to our attorneys and clients in a fast-paced legal environment.

The ideal candidate will have family law experience, strong organizational skills, attention to detail, and the ability to manage multiple deadlines while providing excellent client service. This position plays an important role in supporting attorneys and helping move family law matters efficiently from beginning to end.

Responsibilities:

Assist attorneys with family law matters, including divorce, child custody, child support, alimony, and related cases

Prepare and organize legal documents, pleadings, discovery, and court filings

Assist with preparation of court exhibits and hearing materials

Communicate professionally with clients, attorneys, opposing counsel, and court personnel

Maintain case files, deadlines, and case management information

Provide administrative and legal support to attorneys throughout the litigation process

Qualifications:

2+ years of family law paralegal experience preferred

Strong knowledge of North Carolina family law procedures is a plus

Excellent organizational skills and ability to manage multiple priorities

Strong written and verbal communication skills

Detail-oriented with the ability to meet deadlines

Comfortable using Microsoft Office and legal case management software

Ability to work independently while contributing to a team-focused environment
