Full Job Description

About Us:
Salida Del Sol CBAS (Community-Based Adult Services) provides care and social support for older adults and adults with disabilities. Our goal is to help participants maintain independence and quality of life in a safe and welcoming environment.

Job Summary:
We are seeking a compassionate and dependable individual to join our team as a Program Aide & Driver. This dual role includes assisting participants with daily activities, supporting group programs, and safely transporting participants to and from the center.

Responsibilities:

Arrive in the morning to pick up the company vehicle, then transport participants safely from their homes to the center.
Once participants arrive, assist with daily programming and remain on-site during the program (approximately four hours).
After the program ends, transport participants back home according to the daily route and needs.
Assist participants with daily living needs (grooming, feeding, toileting, mobility, etc.) under nurse supervision.
Observe and report any changes in participant condition or behavior.
Help with activities, meals, and cleanup.
Keep vehicle clean, safe, and in good working condition.
Support community outreach efforts to help promote the program and recruit participants.
Attend trainings and staff meetings as required.
Any additional tasks as assigned by Program Director.

Qualifications:

Valid California Class C Driver’s License and clean driving record required.
Valid California Class B Driver’s License and clean driving record preferred.
CPR and First Aid certified (or willing to obtain).
Experience in caregiving, transportation, or community outreach preferred.
Bilingual English/Spanish required.
Ability to assist participants with mobility and escorting participants throughout the center.
Ability to lift up to 40 lbs.
Ability to stand and walk for extended periods of time.

Working schedule: Monday through Friday 7:30am-3pm
