Full Job Description

Company Overview
ASK Foods, LLC is a trusted leader in the food manufacturing industry, specializing in creating high-quality salads, entrees, sides, and more. The company is committed to producing premium products using the freshest ingredients without artificial preservatives or additives.

Position Overview

Reporting directly to the Quality Director, the Quality Supervisor will lead daily food safety and quality assurance activities in a fast-paced environment. You will provide hands-on leadership to Quality Assurance technicians while working closely with Operations, Maintenance, Distribution and Sanitation to ensure regulatory compliance, audit readiness, and continuous improvement. You will play a critical role in strengthening the food safety culture and ensuring products consistently meet company and regulatory standards.

Responsibilities

· Lead and prioritize daily Quality Assurance operations in support of production, including inspections, testing, and audit execution

· Supervise, coach, and develop facility team members to ensure consistent application of food safety and quality standards

· Monitor and verify Hazard Analysis and Critical Control Points in accordance with established food safety plans

· Conduct Good Manufacturing Practices, sanitation, and food safety audits across production and warehouse areas to maintain audit readiness

· Partner with Operations an to proactively identify and resolve quality, food safety, and process concerns

· Verify that process controls and operational systems are functioning as intended and escalate gaps when identified

· Make product disposition decisions, including hold, release, and rework, in alignment with company policies and regulatory requirements

· Investigate nonconforming raw materials and finished goods

· Lead or support customer complaint investigations, including root cause analysis and corrective actions

· Drive continuous improvement and defect reduction

· Maintain compliance with Food and Drug Administration, United States Department of Agriculture when applicable, and internal audit standards

· Collaborate cross-functionally to strengthen food safety culture and employee engagement

· Supports documentation change workflows

· Perform additional responsibilities as assigned

Qualifications

· Bachelor's degree in Food Science, Microbiology, Chemistry, Biology, or a related field

· 3 + years of quality experience in a manufacturing environment

· Prior people leadership or supervisory experience preferred

· PCQI certification is preferred

· Strong knowledge of food safety systems, sanitation programs, and Good Manufacturing Practices

· Experience supporting internal and external audits, including regulatory, customer, or Global Food Safety Initiative benchmarked audits

· Working knowledge of FDA and USDA regulations

· SQF Practitioner certification is preferred

· BPCS (Better Process Control School) certification is a benefit

Physical Requirements

To perform the essential functions of this job, the employee is regularly required to talk to and/or listen to others. The employee regularly is required to use hands or fingers to handle or feel objects, keyboards, or controls. The employee is regularly required to stand, walk, sit, and reach with hands and arms. The employee must occasionally climb stairs, stoop, kneel, crouch, crawl, and exert a moderate amount of force to lift, carry, push, pull or otherwise move objects up to 25 pounds. A good sense of vision and hearing (with or without correction) is required. Specific vision abilities include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception and the ability to adjust focus.

ENVIRONMENTAL CONDITIONS

The work environment is a combination of an office setting (room temperature (+/- 70 degrees F) with minimal noise) and production/warehouse environment, therefore, to successfully perform the essential functions of this job, must be able to work for varying amounts of time in an environment having the following conditions:

Varying temperatures – The temperatures in the production and warehouse areas vary within a range of 100 degrees to -20 degrees.
Damp conditions – Due to constant sanitation, the environment is damp, and the floors are typically wet and slippery.
Sanitation chemicals – Due to constant sanitation, approved food-grade sanitation chemicals are frequently present in the work environment.
Food allergens – Dairy, eggs, wheat, soy, fish, shellfish, tree nuts, and sesame are used as ingredients in our products and are frequently present in the work environment.
Production equipment and vehicles – Equipment with moving mechanical parts and/or sharp edges and cooking vessels that operate at very high temperatures are present in the work environment and proper safety precautions must be observed. Forklifts and hand trucks are used extensively to move ingredients and finished products to various locations throughout the work environment and proper safety precautions must be observed.
Noise – Noise levels in the work environment are moderate.
Sanitary safeguards – Proper clothing, shoes, hair restraints and other attire must be worn as required by government regulations and/or Company policy, and jewelry and nail polish are strictly prohibited in production areas.

Pay: $60,000.00 - $70,000.00 per year
