C-36 Responsible Managing Employee (RME) / Plumbing Operations Manager

Location: Hesperia, CA
Pay: $35.00–$60.00 per hour, depending on experience
Schedule: Full-Time | Monday–Friday

About Us

We are an established plumbing contractor specializing in new commercial and residential construction throughout Southern California. Our work includes apartment complexes, tract homes, custom homes, car washes, gas stations, tenant improvements, and other large-scale construction projects. We primarily subcontract for general contractors and have built a reputation for quality workmanship, reliability, and professionalism.

Our company is owned and led by a local pastor, and we strive to conduct business with integrity, honesty, respect, and servant leadership. We value people with strong character who take pride in doing quality work, keeping their word, and treating customers, coworkers, and business partners with professionalism and respect.

We're looking for the right long-term leader to help oversee and grow our plumbing division.

Who We're Looking For

We're open to hiring one of two types of candidates:

Experienced Leader – An experienced California C-36 licensed plumbing contractor who can immediately oversee our operation, estimate projects, manage crews, order materials, and help grow the business.

Growing Professional – A newer C-36 license holder with a strong construction plumbing background who is eager to learn the business side of operations. We'll provide mentorship and training to help the right person develop into a long-term operations manager.

Responsibilities

Oversee the daily operations of our plumbing division.
Manage and support a crew of approximately six field employees.
Estimate and bid commercial and residential construction projects.
Review plans, specifications, and project documents.
Coordinate scheduling with project managers and general contractors.
Order and manage materials for multiple active projects.
Maintain job profitability, productivity, and quality standards.
Ensure compliance with California plumbing codes and OSHA safety requirements.
Conduct job site visits and resolve field issues.
Build strong relationships with customers, vendors, inspectors, and general contractors.

Qualifications

Active California C-36 Plumbing Contractor License (required).
Experience in commercial and residential new construction plumbing.
Ability to read blueprints and construction plans.
Strong communication, leadership, and organizational skills.
Valid California driver's license.
Leadership experience is preferred but not required for the right candidate.

Compensation

$35–$60 per hour, depending on experience and qualifications.
Performance-based bonus opportunities.
