Full Job Description

ABA Shaping Services LLC Inc. is seeking compassionate, dependable, and motivated Registered Behavior Technicians (RBTs) to join our growing team. The RBT will provide direct Applied Behavior Analysis (ABA) services to a five -year old child under the supervision of a Board Certified Behavior Analyst (BCBA).

The ideal candidate is passionate about helping individuals develop communication, social, behavioral, and daily living skills. We are looking for team members who are professional, reliable, receptive to feedback, and committed to providing high-quality, individualized ABA services.

Responsibilities

● Provide 1:1 ABA therapy in accordance with individualized treatment plans developed by the supervising BCBA.

● Implement skill-acquisition and behavior-reduction programs using evidence-based ABA procedures, including discrete trial teaching, natural environment teaching, prompting, and reinforcement strategies.

● Teach communication, social, play, self-help, adaptive, and other functional life skills.

● Collect accurate and timely data on client goals, behaviors, and progress during each session.

● Complete session notes and required documentation within established timelines.

● Implement Behavior Intervention Plans (BIPs) and follow all safety procedures as trained and directed.

● Support generalization of learned skills across people, settings, and activities.

● Communicate client progress, behavioral changes, and relevant concerns to the supervising BCBA.

● Participate in ongoing supervision, training, and performance feedback, and apply clinical guidance as directed.

● Maintain professional, ethical, and appropriate interactions with clients, families, caregivers, and team members.

● Uphold client confidentiality and comply with HIPAA, BACB requirements, and agency policies.

● Maintain punctual attendance and reliability for all scheduled sessions.

Required Qualifications & Skills

● Current Registered Behavior Technician (RBT) certification preferred/required based on position assignment.

● College coursework or a degree in psychology, education, special education, social work, behavioral science, or a related field is required.

● Experience working with children or individuals with developmental disabilities, autism and Down Syndrome is required.

● Strong understanding of Applied Behavior Analysis principles and procedures.

● Strong verbal and written communication skills.

● Ability to follow treatment protocols and clinical directions accurately.

● Ability to collect and record behavioral data accurately.

● Strong organizational and time-management skills.

● Dependable, punctual, patient, compassionate, and professional.

● Ability to work independently while remaining responsive to BCBA supervision.

● Ability to receive constructive feedback and make appropriate changes to treatment implementation.

● Ability to maintain confidentiality and professional boundaries.

● Ability to build positive rapport with clients and families.

● Reliable transportation and willingness to travel to client locations when required.
