Job description:

Operate a variety of equipment utilized in the construction of Stream & Wetland Restoration Projects, Mass Earth Moving and General Site Grading. This position requires you to travel and you may be away from home up to two weeks at a time. If out of town, housing is provided and per diem.

Essential Functions:

Operate heavy equipment of various sizes and weights used in stream restoration, mass earthmoving or site preparation.
Excavators with Hydraulic Thumbs
Bulldozer
Wheel Loaders
Properly follow company and OSHA safety procedures. Bring problems to the attention of the Project Manager, Safety Director, or Human Resources Manager as needed.
Follow daily procedures and protocols as set forth in equipment training.
Perform routine inspection, cleaning, and preventive maintenance on assigned equipment and refer defects or needed repairs to supervisor

Qualifications:

5+ years of experience in operating heavy equipment
Considerable knowledge of heavy-equipment operating principles. Ability to drive and operate the equipment under varying working conditions.
Working knowledge of methods, materials, and tools used in heavy equipment operation.
Working knowledge of hazards and safety precautions common to heavy equipment operations.
Ability to perform manual work requiring periods of extensive physical exertion and potential exposure to adverse weather conditions.
Ability to work from construction specifications or project plans.
Ability to understand and carry out written and oral instructions.
Ability to meet attendance schedule with dependability and consistency.
Ability to work in various weather conditions including rain and extreme heat
Ability to travel and work away from home Monday- Friday if needed.

Pay:

From $26.00 per hour. Based on experience
