Full Job Description

Community Care and Rehab is looking for a full-time experienced Business Office Assistant. The pay rate starts at $20/hr. and up, depending on experience and qualifications. Skilled nursing billing experience and/or Medical Billing or Medi-Cal application experience preferred!

We are a skilled nursing facility looking for dynamic associates to join our team and provide our guests with a care experience that will change their lives! If you are a customer service oriented individual with a Business Office Assistant background, we want to meet you!

BUSINESS OFFICE ASSISTANT JOB PURPOSE

The Business Office Assistant is primarily responsible for assisting the Business Office Manager in performing accounts receivable related duties as assigned.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

Core duties and responsibilities include the following. Other duties may be assigned.

Assists in maintaining and reconciling census daily and monthly in PCC software.
Assists in requesting and tracking authorizations for payment from multiple payers as assigned.
Assists in submitting claims to various payer types as assigned in compliance with state and federal regulations.
Assists in posting cash receipts and deposits daily.
Assists in mailing monthly private statements.
Assist in verifying payer eligibility 2x monthly

QUALIFICATIONS

Experience, Competencies and Education:

Must have excellent customer service skills to interact with both internal and external customers.
High level of professionalism, approaches others in a tactful manner; Reacts well under pressure; Treats others with respect and consideration regardless of their status or position; Accepts responsibility for own actions; Follows through on commitments.
Is consistently at work and on time; Ensures work responsibilities are covered when absent; Arrives at meetings and appointments on time.
Must have identifiable characteristics that complement the company core values.
Must have at least 1 year of SNF billing experience for Private, Medical & Managed Medical
Knowledge of Medi-cal applications
Knowledge of Medicare, Medi-Cal, HMO, and Commercial Insurance
Experience on working in a very fast-paced SNF facility

Language Skills

Ability to effectively communicate with clients, customers, and the general public.
