HARDWARE DEPARTMENT MANAGER (Aerospace)

Location: Tualatin

Schedule: Onsite position M-F 7am-3:30pm

Position Type: FT permanent position

Pay: $30-$35PH

OVERVIEW

Currently we are seeking a Hardware Manager to join our team. The Hardware Manager plays a vital role in ensuring the smooth and efficient flow of materials and components through the assembly process. This position is responsible for scheduling hardware orders, monitoring inventory levels, coordinating procurement, and maintaining accurate records to support production timelines and minimizing downtime. The role has an emphasis on aerospace hardware within the manufacturing space and will work with other key department leaders to support customer projects will also leading the team of hardware technicians.

Please note, this position requires experience working with aerospace hardware and components through the assembly process and having worked in an aerospace or aviation manufacturing enviornment.

Current Shift Availability:

Day shift- 7am-3:30pm

ESSENTIAL DUTIES + RESPONSIBILITIES

Scheduling & Coordination:

Create and manage hardware production schedules based on demand forecasts, customer orders, and inventory levels.
Coordinate with purchasing, production, and shipping departments to ensure timely availability and delivery of materials.
Track incoming and outgoing hardware to maintain alignment with production schedules.

Inventory Management:

Monitor and manage hardware inventory levels to ensure optimal stock and avoid shortages or overstock situations.
Perform regular cycle counts and full inventory audits.
Maintain accurate inventory records using ERP systems.

Procurement Support:

Assist in ordering materials and components from approved vendors based on lead times and usage rates.
Track purchase orders, delivery timelines, and vendor performance.
Collaborate with the procurement team to resolve supply chain issues.

Documentation & Reporting:

Maintain accurate and up-to-date documentation for inventory transactions, production scheduling changes, hardware specifications, personal protective equipment (PPE), and the shelf life of all solvents, adhesives, and chemical materials.

Continuous Improvement:

Identify inefficiencies in scheduling and inventory processes and recommend improvements.
Collaborate with cross-functional teams to implement process enhancements and lean manufacturing practices.

Qualifications:

AEROSPACE HARDWARE- Advanced understanding, knowledge of, and hands-on experience working with is a HARD REQUIREMENT.
Associate or Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain Management, Business, Operations, or a related field (or equivalent experience).
2+ years of leadership, management, or lead experience overseeing people and processes required.
2+ years of experience in inventory management, production scheduling, or a similar role in a manufacturing environment.
Experience working in an aerospace or aviation manufacturing environment REQUIRED.
Proficiency with inventory software and ERP systems (ProShop)
Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
Excellent communication and problem-solving abilities.
Ability to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines.
