Familyway Homecare Inc. is an approved New Jersey Division of Developmental Disabilities (DDD) provider committed to delivering high-quality, person-centered services to individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities.
We are expanding our DDD program and are seeking an experienced, compassionate, and highly organized DDD Program Supervisor to help oversee and grow our Individual Supports and Community-Based Supports services.

Position Summary
The DDD Program Supervisor will provide day-to-day oversight of Familyway's DDD services and Direct Support Professionals (DSPs).
The Supervisor will help ensure participants receive safe, reliable, person-centered services consistent with their Individualized Service Plans (ISPs), service authorizations, DDD requirements, and Familyway policies.
This is a hands-on leadership position involving participant services, DSP supervision, documentation review, quality assurance, incident management, staff development, Support Coordinator communication, and program growth.
Key Responsibilities
Program & Participant Oversight
- Oversee delivery of Individual Supports and Community-Based Supports.
- Review participant ISPs, Service Detail Reports, authorizations, goals, risks, and support requirements.
- Ensure services are delivered according to each participant's authorized plan.
- Participate in participant intake, assessment, onboarding, and DSP matching.
- Maintain regular communication with participants, families/guardians, and Support Coordinators.
- Monitor participant satisfaction, progress, health, safety, and service quality.
- Assist with resolving participant, family, and service-delivery concerns.
DSP Supervision
- Recruit, onboard, train, supervise, and coach Direct Support Professionals.
- Ensure DSPs understand participant-specific needs and ISP goals before assignment.
- Conduct DSP field observations and competency assessments.
- Review staff attendance, punctuality, professionalism, and service performance.
- Conduct regular supervision meetings and performance evaluations.
- Identify staff training and development needs.
- Assist with corrective actions when performance or compliance concerns arise.
- Help maintain reliable staffing and minimize missed or unfilled services.
Documentation & Quality Assurance
- Review DSP progress notes for accuracy, timeliness, completeness, and alignment with ISP goals.
- Monitor EVV and service documentation for accuracy.
- Identify documentation discrepancies and ensure timely correction.
- Conduct routine participant chart and personnel-file audits.
- Monitor staff credentials, certifications, and required DDD training.
- Assist with internal quality assurance and continuous improvement activities.
- Maintain organized and audit-ready program records.
Compliance & Incident Management
- Ensure services comply with applicable New Jersey DDD requirements and Familyway policies.
- Recognize and appropriately escalate reportable incidents.
- Assist with incident reporting, documentation, investigation, follow-up, and corrective action.
- Ensure appropriate response to suspected abuse, neglect, exploitation, participant-rights violations, and health or safety concerns.
- Promote compliance with HIPAA, confidentiality, Medicaid documentation, fraud/waste/abuse, and professional-boundary requirements.
- Help maintain readiness for DDD reviews and audits.
Referral & Program Development
- Build professional relationships with Support Coordinators and other DDD stakeholders.
- Respond promptly to prospective participant referrals.
- Help evaluate whether Familyway can safely and appropriately staff new referrals.
- Maintain transparency regarding staffing capacity and service availability.
- Support participant onboarding and timely service starts.
- Help identify opportunities to improve and expand Familyway's DDD services.
- Participate in community and referral-development activities as appropriate.
Qualifications
Required
- Minimum 3 years of experience working with individuals with intellectual and/or developmental disabilities.
- Minimum 2 years of supervisory, lead, case-management, or program coordination experience preferred.
- Working knowledge of New Jersey DDD services and requirements.
- Experience supervising Direct Support Professionals or similar direct-care staff.
- Knowledge of person-centered planning and ISP implementation.
- Experience reviewing progress notes and service documentation.
- Understanding of incident reporting, participant rights, abuse/neglect/exploitation reporting, and confidentiality.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
- Strong organizational and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities.
- Comfortable using electronic documentation, scheduling, and EVV systems.
- Valid driver's license and reliable transportation for travel to participant and community locations as required.
- Ability to successfully complete all applicable background, registry, exclusion, training, and employment requirements.
Preferred
- Bachelor's degree in Human Services, Social Work, Psychology, Education, Behavioral Health, Healthcare Administration, or a related field.
- 5+ years of New Jersey DDD experience.
- Experience with Individual Supports and Community-Based Supports.
- Experience with Respite and/or Behavioral Supports.
- Existing professional experience working with Support Coordinators.
- Experience with DDD incident management and quality assurance.
- Experience conducting DSP competency assessments and performance evaluations.
- Experience with Medicaid documentation, EVV, service authorizations, and compliance audits.
- Experience helping launch, grow, or improve a DDD program.

Compensation
Starting Pay: $45K a year
A formal performance review will be conducted after approximately six months of employment.
Based on successful performance, including leadership, compliance, service quality, DSP management, program development, and demonstrated contribution to increased participant referrals and program growth, compensation may increase to $50K a year.
Schedule
Full-time position with a primarily daytime schedule.
Some flexibility may be required for:

- Occasional evening or weekend coverage
