Full Job Description

Job Overview

Part-Time Contract Bookkeeper

16–20 Hours Per Week
Schedule: Mon–Wed 10:00 AM–2:00 PM, Thu 10:00 AM–3:00 PM

Private nonprofit community organization seeking an experienced Bookkeeper to manage financial records, payroll, reporting, and compliance using QuickBooks Online.

Responsibilities

Maintain financial records in QuickBooks Online.
Process accounts payable, accounts receivable, and payroll.
Perform monthly bank reconciliations.
Prepare monthly financial reports.
Prepare annual billing, invoices, and collection notices.
Assist with required tax filings, including W-2s, 1099s, IRS Form 990, and Hawaii GET returns.
Support budget preparation and financial reviews.

QualificationsRequired

3-5 years of QuickBooks Online experience
Experience with payroll, reconciliations, A/P, A/R, and financial reporting
Strong organizational and recordkeeping skills
Proficiency with Microsoft Office
Ability to maintain confidentiality

Preferred

Nonprofit accounting experience
Experience with Form 990 and Hawaii GET reporting
HOA, association, or community organization experience

Position Type

Independent Contractor
Part-Time (16–20 hours per week)

Compensation

Compensation based on experience and qualifications.

Pay: $20.00 - $25.00 per hour
