National Action Network is one of the leading civil rights organizations in the nation with chapters throughout the entire United States. Founded in 1991 by Reverend Al Sharpton, NAN works within the spirit and tradition of Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr. to promote a modern civil rights agenda that includes the fight for one standard of justice, decency and equal opportunities for all people regardless of race, religion, ethnicity, citizenship, criminal record, economic status, gender, gender expression, or sexuality.

We are looking for an EXPERIENCED Scheduling Coordinator to support the founder and President. This is a FULL-TIME position.

Job responsibilities include but are not limited to:

- Managing day-to-day operations of a major Civil Rights organization.

- Organize and schedule meetings and appointments.

- Screen and direct incoming phone calls and emails to the appropriate party.

- Manage relationships with vendors, service providers and landlords.

- Coordinate office staff activities to ensure maximum efficiency.

- Create and file daily briefings in preparation for meetings with the President.

- Greet incoming guests.

- Take meeting notes with an understanding of priority needs.

- Perform other administrative duties as needed.

Requirements for the position:

- 5+ years of experience in a field related to Business Administration or Social Advocacy

- Ability to multitask seamlessly

- GREAT Attention to detail

- Exceptional written and verbal communication skills

- Ability to work effectively with a team

- Commitment to carrying out responsibilities with complete discretion and confidentiality

- Knowledgeable on how to navigate Outlook and Microsoft Suite
