Full Job Description

Senior Electrical Estimator

We are seeking an experienced Senior Electrical Estimator to lead estimating efforts for commercial and industrial electrical projects. This role is responsible for preparing accurate cost estimates, reviewing project specifications, coordinating with vendors and subcontractors, and supporting a successful transition from estimating to project execution.

Responsibilities

Prepare detailed estimates and takeoffs for commercial and industrial electrical projects, including power, lighting, industrial wiring, and low-voltage systems.
Review RFQs, RFPs, drawings, and specifications to determine project scope, risks, and pricing requirements.
Attend pre-bid meetings and site visits to evaluate project conditions and develop accurate estimates.
Solicit and evaluate vendor and subcontractor pricing and prepare bid packages.
Coordinate with engineering, operations, and project management teams to support project planning, scheduling, and handoff.
Provide pricing for change orders, alternates, and additional project scope as required.

Qualifications

10+ years of commercial or industrial electrical experience.
5+ years of experience in estimating, project management, or electrical design.
Strong knowledge of electrical installation practices, labor units, and industry standards.
Proficiency with Microsoft Office; experience with estimating software such as Accubid is preferred.
Excellent communication, organizational, and time-management skills.
Valid driver’s license; OSHA 30 certification is a plus (training available if needed).
