About the Opportunity
Guardians Involved for Tomorrow, Inc. is seeking a strong, organized, and child-centered Program
Manager to lead the daily operations of its MOST — Maximizing Out-of-School Time — Inclusion Year-
Round Program in Lauderhill, Florida.
This is a full-time, on-site leadership role for someone who understands youth development, afterschool
and summer programming, staff supervision, child safety, family communication, inclusion supports, and
program documentation.
The ideal candidate is a hands-on program leader who can keep daily operations running smoothly,
supervise a team, support children with diverse needs, communicate effectively with families, and
ensure the program is safe, structured, welcoming, and engaging.
Key Responsibilities
The Program Manager will:
Manage daily program operations, including arrival, dismissal, transitions, activity rotations,
attendance, safety checks, and staff assignments.
Supervise teachers, counselors, program assistants, volunteers, and activity support staff.
Create and adjust staff schedules to support safe supervision and required staff-to-child ratios.
Coordinate academic support, enrichment activities, physical fitness, prosocial learning, family
engagement, field trips, and summer project-based learning.
Support children with varied learning, behavioral, developmental, communication, emotional, or
accessibility needs.
Partner with staff, families, inclusion support providers, and leadership to ensure children are
supported appropriately.
Conduct staff huddles, observations, coaching, and follow-up to reinforce quality, safety, and
accountability.
Communicate with parents and caregivers regarding attendance, behavior, incidents,
accommodations, and program expectations.
Maintain accurate attendance records, activity logs, incident reports, staff schedules, family
communication notes, and other required program documentation.
Escalate safety, staffing, compliance, family, or participant concerns to the Executive Director as
needed.Program Start-Up, Registration, Licensing & Compliance
Responsibilities
Guardians Involved for Tomorrow (GIFT) is implementing a newly funded MOST
- Maximizing Out-of-School Time - Inclusion Year-Round Program. Because the
program is in its start-up and implementation phase, the Program Manager will
have a critical leadership role in ensuring that the program is fully prepared,
properly registered, compliant, and operational.
Prioritize and actively assist with all program start-up, registration, licensing, and
compliance requirements necessary for GIFT to operate its funded afterschool,
non-school day, and year-round programming.
Work directly with the Executive Director and appropriate staff to ensure
compliance with Broward County Child Care Licensing, the Children's Services
Council of Broward County (CSC), and any other governmental, regulatory,
funding, or oversight authorities applicable to the program.
Become knowledgeable about and maintain working familiarity with the
licensing standards, contractual requirements, policies, procedures, and
documentation applicable to the MOST program.
Assist with preparing the program site for initial and ongoing licensing
inspections, monitoring visits, funder reviews, and other required compliance
activities.
Ensure required licensing and program documentation is organized, current,
accessible, and maintained in accordance with applicable requirements.
Track required staff credentials, background screenings, training certifications,
personnel documentation, child enrollment records, emergency information,
attendance records, ratios, and other required compliance materials.
Identify outstanding licensing, registration, or compliance requirements and take
timely action to resolve deficiencies or obtain needed documentation.
Coordinate with staff, community partners, licensing representatives, CSC
representatives, and other appropriate entities when information,
documentation, training, or corrective action is required.
Maintain the program in a state of ongoing operational readiness, recognizing
that compliance is a continuous Program Manager responsibility and not limited
to preparation for a scheduled inspection.Immediately communicate licensing, safety, compliance, staffing, or regulatory
concerns to the Executive Director and assist with developing and implementing
corrective actions.
Recognize that, during the program's start-up phase, program registration,
licensing readiness, regulatory compliance, participant enrollment, and
successful program implementation are priority responsibilities of the Program
Manager position.
Required Qualifications
Qualified candidates must have: Prefered Directors Credentials Bachelor’s degree in Education, Recreation, Youth Development, or a related field.
CPR AED First Aid Certification
At least three years of experience in youth programming, afterschool programming, summer
programming, school-age programs, community-based programs, or related direct service
operations.
Experience supervising staff, volunteers, youth workers, teachers, counselors, or direct service
team members.
Experience supporting children with diverse learning, behavioral, developmental,
communication, emotional, or accessibility needs.
Strong organizational, communication, problem-solving, and leadership skills.
Experience maintaining program documentation such as attendance records, incident reports,
schedules, daily logs, or family communication notes.
Ability to work full-time on site in Lauderhill, Florida.
Ability to successfully complete required background screening, fingerprinting, training, and
compliance requirements.
Preferred Qualifications
Preferred experience includes:
MOST or CSC-funded programming.
School-based or community center youth programs.
Inclusion-focused programming.
Project-Based Learning.
PATHS, CATCH, literacy support, social-emotional learning, or similar youth development
curricula.
Trauma-informed care, behavior management, group control, or youth mental health first aid.
Family engagement and parent/caregiver communication.

The successful Program Manager will help create a program environment where children feel safe,
included, supported, and excited to participate.
Schedule and Work Requirements
This is a full-time, on-site position based in Lauderhill, Florida. The Program Manager must be available
for school-year programming, non-school days, summer programming, staff training, family engagement
activities, field trips, meetings, and emergency response needs as assigned.
Required Screening and Compliance
Employment is contingent upon successful completion of all required screening and compliance
requirements, including:
Florida Level 2 background screening.
Fingerprinting.
Required child safety and mandated reporting training.
Agency orientation.
Required MOST/CSC-related trainings, as applicable.
Ongoing eligibility to work with children in a youth-serving program.
