Job Summary

We are seeking a dynamic and detail-oriented Electrical Estimator to join our team and drive the success of our commercial electrical projects. In this role, you will be responsible for preparing accurate cost estimates, analyzing blueprints and technical drawings, and collaborating closely with clients, project managers, and suppliers. Your expertise will help ensure projects are completed on time, within budget, and to the highest quality standards. This position offers an exciting opportunity to contribute to diverse construction projects while honing your skills in estimation, project management, and cost control.

Responsibilities

Review construction drawings, blueprints, and technical specifications to accurately interpret project requirements and estimate material quantities.
Develop detailed cost estimates for electrical systems using estimating software such as Accubid and Bluebeam.
Manage and update project budgets throughout the bidding process and construction phases, ensuring cost control measures are maintained.
Collaborate with clients, subcontractors, vendors, and internal teams through negotiation to secure competitive pricing and favorable terms.
Prepare comprehensive bid proposals that include detailed scope of work, pricing, and schedule considerations.
Utilize construction management software and spreadsheets to track costs, material requirements, and project progress.
Conduct site visits when necessary to review existing conditions, verify measurements, and assess project feasibility.
Review construction drawings thoroughly to identify potential challenges or discrepancies early in the estimating process.
Assist in managing multiple projects simultaneously by prioritizing tasks effectively and maintaining clear communication channels.

Requirements

Proven experience in heavy electrical estimating within the commercial construction industry.
Strong proficiency with estimating software such as Accubid and Bluebeam
Excellent blueprint reading skills with the ability to interpret technical drawings accurately.
Solid understanding of construction industry standards, cost management practices, and material cost estimating techniques.
Effective negotiation skills with vendors, subcontractors, and clients to achieve optimal pricing outcomes.
Construction site experience coupled with a strong background in interpreting technical documents related to electrical systems.
Exceptional communication skills for client interactions and team collaboration.
Knowledge of estimating for commercial electrical projects along with experience in cost control and material requirement estimation from blueprints.
MUST HAVE PREVIOUS EXPERIENCE WITH ACCUBID.
Must have minimum 3+ years EXPERIENCE ESTIMATING
