Overview

Join our dynamic healthcare team as a Full Time Billing Clerk and Office Assistant, where your energy and attention to detail will drive efficient billing processes and support daily administrative operations. This vital role combines medical billing expertise with office support, ensuring smooth communication between patients, insurance providers, and healthcare professionals. Duties

Manage medical billing processes using specialized billing software and electronic health record (EHR) systems to ensure accurate submission of healthcare claims.
Review and code medical procedures and diagnoses utilizing CPT coding, ICD-9, ICD-10, and ICD coding standards to facilitate proper reimbursement.
Follow up on unpaid claims and coordinate with insurance companies to resolve discrepancies or denials, enhancing collection rates.
Maintain detailed medical records, including documentation of procedures, diagnoses, and patient information, adhering to confidentiality standards.
Assist with administrative tasks such as answering phones, scheduling appointments, managing correspondence, and organizing medical records.
Provide exceptional customer service by addressing patient inquiries related to billing and insurance matters promptly and professionally.
Support the office team with general clerical duties to ensure efficient daily operations within a busy healthcare environment.

Requirements

Proven experience in medical billing with familiarity in DRG (Diagnosis-Related Group), CPT coding, ICD-9, ICD-10, and ICD coding systems.
Strong knowledge of healthcare claims management, health insurance processes, and medical terminology.
Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel) along with experience using billing software and EMR/EHR systems.
Prior medical office experience is highly preferred; familiarity with medical records management is a plus.
Excellent organizational skills with keen attention to detail to ensure accuracy in billing and administrative tasks.
Ability to communicate effectively with patients, insurance providers, and team members while maintaining a positive attitude.
Knowledge of medical collection procedures and healthcare regulations will be advantageous.
