Our mission is to create personalized activity-based programs that cater to the diverse interests and abilities of our residents, ensuring their physical, social, and emotional needs are met with compassion and respect.

Summary

We are seeking an Activities Aide to join our team at The Care Center of Honolulu. This role is vital in supporting our residents' daily activities and enhancing their quality of life. You will work closely with our skilled nursing staff to ensure that each resident receives the compassionate care they deserve.

Responsibilities

Assist residents with daily living activities, ensuring comfort and dignity.
Support recreational therapy programs by engaging residents in various activities.
Collaborate with nursing staff to monitor residents' health and report any changes.
Provide companionship and emotional support to residents and their families.
Help maintain a clean and safe environment for all residents.
Participate in training sessions to enhance skills related to senior care.

Requirements

Experience in a nursing home or senior care environment is preferred.
Strong interpersonal skills with a compassionate approach to caregiving.
Ability to assist with recreational activities tailored to residents' interests.
Basic understanding of memory care principles is a plus.
Willingness to learn about aging issues and long-term care practices.
