Position Summary
The Corporate Philanthropy Specialist supports and helps execute Hawaiʻi Foodbank’s corporate giving program, working under the direction of the Director of Institutional Giving to build corporate giving into a true second pillar of institutional fundraising, alongside grants.
This is a Specialist-level role: the Specialist brings demonstrated, hands-on experience stewarding corporate partnerships and is expected to exercise independent judgment in day-to-day relationship management — within the strategy and priorities the Director sets — rather than simply executing administrative tasks. As Hawaiʻi Foodbank’s corporate giving program grows, the Specialist manages a defined portfolio of corporate partners and prospects directly, handles proposal and sponsorship development with real ownership, and brings sound judgment to cultivation and stewardship decisions, freeing the Director to focus on the organization’s highest-value corporate relationships.
The Specialist works closely with the Director on portfolio strategy and priority-setting, and takes the lead on engagement, retention, and stewardship activity across sponsorship, cause marketing, workplace giving, and corporate foundation opportunities.
