Full Job Description

CNC Programmer

Bennett Die and Tool is seeking a skilled and experienced CNC Programmer to join our manufacturing team. In this role, you will be responsible for programming, setting up, and optimizing 3- and 5-axis CNC mills machines to ensure efficient production of high-quality parts.

We are dedicated to providing high-quality products and innovative solutions. We pride ourselves on our commitment to excellence, teamwork, and continuous improvement. Our manufacturing facility has the capabilities of performing custom precision for prototypes or production quantities using the latest in machining and fabricating techniques.

Compensation range of $25.00-$32.00/ HR with anticipation to grow within the company. In addition to an excellent benefit package which includes twice annual bonus payouts, 8 paid holidays, and highly subsidized medical insurance for our employees. We also offer an excellent 401k plan and a PTO program.

Key Responsibilities:

Programming: Develop, edit, and optimize CNC programs for various machining processes, ensuring accuracy and efficiency.
Setup and Operation: Oversee the setup and operation of CNC machines, ensuring proper tooling, fixturing, and workflow.
Collaboration: Work closely with engineers and production staff to interpret technical drawings and specifications, and provide input on design for manufacturability.
Troubleshooting: Diagnose and resolve programming or machining issues in a timely manner to minimize downtime.
Documentation: Maintain accurate records of programming changes, setups, and production routers.
Process Improvement: Identify opportunities for process improvements, cost reductions, and increased efficiency in CNC operations.

Qualifications:

Education: Associate’s degree in Manufacturing Technology, Engineering, or related field; or equivalent experience.
Experience: Minimum of [5] years of experience in CNC programming and machining,
Skills:
Proficiency in CNC programming languages (G-code, M-code).
Experience with CAD/CAM software (e.g., Mastercam, SolidWorks).
Strong understanding of machining principles, tooling, and work holding methods.
Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.

Position Type/Expected Hours of Work

This is a full-time permanent benefited position. Standard days and hours of work are Monday through Friday, 7:00 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. Must be willing to work overtime until 5PM and Saturday Mornings when necessary.
