Company Description
MedCoShare is building the all-in-one private practice ecosystem — combining flexible, fully furnished medical coworking space with practice support services that help independent physicians and healthcare providers start, run, and grow their practices. Our mission is to let providers “Practice Your Way” by removing the administrative, financial, and operational burdens of running a medical office, so they can focus on their patients. MedCoShare operates locations across King of Prussia, PA; Marlton, NJ; Fishtown (Philadelphia), PA; Horsham, PA; and Pearland, TX, with additional markets on the horizon.
Position Summary
MedCoShare is seeking a detail-oriented, dependable Bookkeeper to support our company's financial operations and our broader network of locations. This role combines mid-level bookkeeping and accounting fundamentals with payroll/HR support, financial projections, franchise support, and occasional hands-on customer service. The ideal candidate is analytical and highly organized, comfortable working independently, able to prioritize multiple tasks, and equally comfortable stepping in to support a member when needed. This is an in-person role that plays a visible part in delivering on MedCoShare's mission to remove administrative and financial burdens for the providers we serve.
Growth Opportunity
MedCoShare is hiring this role with long-term growth in mind. We are looking for someone with the potential and the ambition to advance from Bookkeeper into Staff Accountant, Controller, and ultimately a senior finance leadership role (CFO) as MedCoShare scales into new markets. This person will work closely with company leadership, gain progressively broader exposure to multi-entity and investor-level financial reporting, and take on expanding scope and responsibility as they demonstrate readiness. We encourage candidates to pursue higher-level education that will complement their intended growth, as this role is the start of a career path, not a fixed position.

● Maintain accurate, up-to-date financial records, including accounts payable, accounts receivable, general ledger entries, and bank/credit card reconciliations.
● Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reports and summaries for management review.
● Analyze financial data to identify trends, discrepancies, and opportunities for improved accuracy or efficiency.
● Support preparation of documentation for tax filings and work with outside CPAs/tax preparers as needed.
● Assist with month-end and year-end close processes.
2. Payroll Processing & HR Numbers
● Process bi-weekly or semi-monthly payroll accurately and on time, including hours, PTO, deductions, and adjustments.
● Maintain payroll records and ensure compliance with applicable wage and hour requirements.

3. Financial Projections
● Assist in developing cash flow forecasts, budgets, and financial projections.
● Track actual performance against budget/projections and flag variances proactively.
● Gain progressive exposure to consolidated, multi-entity financial reporting across MedCoShare's subsidiaries and, over time, investor- and board-level reporting, as part of a defined growth path toward senior finance leadership.
4. Franchise Support
● Provide bookkeeping and administrative support related to franchise operations, reporting, and compliance requirements.
● Assist franchise partners and internal teams with financial questions, documentation, and standardized reporting.
5. Policy Creation & Systems Integration
● Help develop, document, and refine internal bookkeeping and financial policies, procedures, and best practices.
● Support integration of financial systems, software, and tools (e.g., QuickBooks with payroll, banking, or reporting platforms) to improve accuracy and efficiency.
6. Local Presence, Customer Support & People Skills
● Serve as a friendly, reliable local point of contact for members, vendors, and staff.
● Provide excellent customer service, addressing member and vendor inquiries related to billing, invoices, and account questions.
● Represent MedCoShare's culture and values in all interactions with members, guests, and colleagues.
7. Front Desk Coverage
● Ability to cover the front desk if the business requires. Friendly, greeting members and guests, answering phones, and handling routine administrative requests.
8. Additional Expectations
● Accountable & Dependable: Consistently follows through on commitments, meets deadlines, and can be relied upon to manage sensitive financial information with integrity.
● Proactive & Solution-Oriented: Identifies issues before they escalate and brings forward practical solutions rather than just problems.
● Practices Excellence: Holds work to a high standard of accuracy, professionalism, and presentation in everything produced.
● Independent Work: Manages day-to-day responsibilities with minimal oversight, exercising sound judgment and knowing when to escalate.
● Travel: Available to travel to other MedCoShare locations if needed.

● Proficiency in QuickBooks required; experience with payroll platforms and Microsoft Excel strongly preferred.
● Working knowledge of bookkeeping principles, financial reporting, and basic tax preparation concepts.

● Strong analytical, organizational, and time-management skills, with excellent attention to detail.
● Strong interpersonal and communication skills, with a customer-service mindset.
● Comfortable working both independently and as part of a small, collaborative team.
● Valid driver's license and reliable transportation for occasional local travel.
● Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, Business, or related field strongly preferred; candidates actively pursuing or open to pursuing a CPA or similar professional credential are especially encouraged to apply.
● Demonstrated desire to grow professionally — comfortable learning new systems, absorbing expanding responsibility, and taking initiative beyond the current job description as the role evolves.
