ASSISTANT KITCHEN MANAGER — NEW RESTAURANT OPENING

Tia Juanita's Fish Camp | Pasadena, TX
$55,000+/year DOE + Performance Bonus | Full-Time

Tia Juanita's Fish Camp is seeking an experienced Assistant Kitchen Manager to join the opening leadership team for our new Pasadena location.

We are looking for a hands-on, accountable and coachable kitchen leader who takes pride in food quality, cleanliness, developing people and doing things the right way.

Important Training Requirement: This position requires pre-opening management training at Tia Juanita's Fish Camp in Winnie, Texas.

Training is hands-on and includes working BOH stations and learning Tia Juanita's recipes, procedures and operating systems. Managers must be willing to learn and execute the system as trained, regardless of previous experience. This is NOT a chef driven position.

Responsibilities

Support the KM and GM in daily kitchen operations
Lead, train and develop BOH employees
Maintain excellent food quality, sanitation and food-safety standards
Manage food cost, waste, inventory and labor
Assist with ordering, receiving and inventory
Ensure recipes and procedures are followed consistently
Coach employees and address performance issues promptly
Remain actively engaged during high-volume shifts
Protect equipment, inventory and company resources
Work nights, weekends and holidays as required

What We're Looking For

3+ years restaurant kitchen leadership experience
Strong hands-on BOH experience
Working knowledge of food cost and labor
Inventory and ordering experience
Strong training and people-development skills
High-volume restaurant experience preferred
Bilingual English/Spanish strongly preferred
ServSafe Manager certification preferred

Compensation & Opportunity

$55,000+ depending on experience, plus performance bonus, paid management training, PTO, employee discounts and advancement opportunities.
