Full Job Description

Job Summary

We are seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Accounting Clerk with MUST HAVE CDK EXPERIENCE to join our dynamic accounting team. In this role, you will be responsible for supporting various accounting functions, ensuring accuracy and compliance across financial processes. Your expertise in CDK software, combined with strong accounting knowledge, will be essential in maintaining seamless operations and delivering exceptional service to internal teams and external partners. This position offers an exciting opportunity to contribute to a fast-paced environment where your technical skills and financial acumen will make a significant impact. Communication is a very important requirement in this position, you will be reporting to the controller but working very closely with our sales team.

Duties

Invoice units in CDK in F&I
Bill/Post truck deals into CDK, calculate taxes, commissions and gross
Light title work
Create 1295 forms
Floor units, reconcile, payoff floorplan
Inventory-keep the stock list updated with new/sold units
Stock new/used units into inventory in CDK
Create PO's
Work with transport company to track all new units ensuring they are routed to the correct location, communicate with Sales and Service as they head our way
Route drivers to pick up and deliver units that are not moved by the transport company
Request Certificate of Insurance from Insurance company to comply with City/Government requirements
Receivables- own them, send out weekly emails to Sales , Management and Vendors
Perform data entry and account reconciliation tasks, including balance sheet reconciliation and general ledger accounting
Create and send out list of New Deliverable units weekly
Commissions- send out weekly, turn commission spreadsheet into payroll clerk
Prepare journal entries, conduct account analysis, and assist with month-end closing activities
Reconciliation and Cleaning of Schedules weekly as well as reconciling the Floorplan, Manufacturer Statements monthly
Issue Checks
Buyboard Reconciliation and Buyboard Payments
Apportioned Plate Renewal
Backup Receptionist
Support compliance with SOX (Sarbanes-Oxley Act) controls and adhere to GAAP (Generally Accepted Accounting Principles) standards
Must be proficient in Excel
Handle confidential information with integrity while providing excellent customer service to internal departments and external vendors

Requirements

Proven experience as an Accounting Clerk or similar role with strong knowledge of corporate and governmental accounting practices
MUST HAVE CDK experience
Solid understanding of accounting concepts including debits & credits, double entry bookkeeping, journal entries, and account reconciliation
Experience working within SOX compliance frameworks and using systems like Workday or UltiPro is a plus
Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, especially Excel for data analysis and spreadsheet management
Strong numeracy skills with attention to detail and accuracy in data entry and account analysis
Excellent organizational skills with the ability to handle multiple tasks efficiently in a fast-paced environment
Ability to maintain confidentiality of sensitive financial information at all times
