Full Job Description

A top performing, award winning Houston area automotive dealership is looking for an experienced and motivated Used Car Manager with the exceptional leadership skills and previous success driving performance

Responsibilities:

Appraise all Trades, Maintain Used Car Inventory.
Work with and supervise Sales Consultants to ensure individual and department sales goals and quotas are met
Maintain Online Inventory to make sure our vehicles are advertised aggressively!
Work directly with our sales team and customers to develop relationships and help bridge disconnects in the sales process
Build rapport with customers to build a base of referrals to establish customer network.
Provide training and support to the sales staff and assist in closing sales.
Desk deals for sales professionals and take T.O.’s to maximize deal potential.
Work with wholesalers to purchase vehicles for the inventory from auction, off-lease returns & inter-company.

Requirements:

One year of previous experience as an Automotive Pre-Owned Sales Manager preferred
Well-versed in auto, vehicle acquisitions, vehicle appraisals, merchandising, managing the vehicle reconditioning process, managing inventory, and retailing used cars
Experience and knowledge of finance operations, knowledge of bank programs and ability to create excellent lender relationships are important for this position
Excellent communication and customer service skills are required
Previous experience with high-volume and producing high units per month is preferred
Proven leadership ability to mentor and train others
Demonstrated communication and interpersonal skills
Organization and follow-up skills
Experience and desire to work with technology
Valid driver's license and have and maintain an acceptable, safe driving record
