We are a manufacturer of precision elastomer and plastic seals serving oil & gas, mining, and water distribution markets, specializing in small-series production across 8,000+ SKUs annually. We are seeking an experienced Lathe Operator. The Lathe Operator will be responsible for setting up and operating manual and/or CNC lathes to produce precision-machined components according to specifications, quality standards, and production schedules.

Key Responsibilities

Set up and operate lathe machines to manufacture parts according to engineering drawings and specifications.
Read and interpret blueprints, work orders, and technical documents.
Measure and inspect finished products using precision measuring instruments such as calipers, micrometers, and gauges.
Monitor machine operations and make adjustments as needed to maintain quality and efficiency.
Perform routine machine maintenance and keep equipment in good working condition.
Identify and report equipment malfunctions, quality issues, or production concerns.
Maintain accurate production records and quality documentation.
Follow all company safety policies and procedures.
Maintain a clean and organized work area.

Requirements:

High school diploma or GED preferred.
Minimum of 1-3 years of lathe operation experience in a manufacturing environment.
Experience operating manual and/or CNC lathes.
Ability to read blueprints and engineering drawings.
Knowledge of machining techniques, tooling, and measuring instruments.
Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality.
Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
Basic math and problem-solving skills.

Nice to Have

Experience in oil & gas, or industrial supply sectors.

Exposure to high-SKU, low-volume / small-series manufacturing environments.
