Full Job Description

Job Summary

The Inside Sales position is a high-impact, fast-paced role responsible for supporting
Outside Sales by managing the full lifecycle of quotes, order processing, and customer
coordination.
This position serves as the operational backbone of revenue generation, ensuring rapid
response times, accurate quoting, seamless order execution, and proactive customer
communication.
This is a performance-driven, detail-intensive role that requires urgency, organization,
and the ability to manage high quote volume across a multi-state territory.

Essential Functions & Key Responsibilities

Quote Management & Pricing Execution
Prepare and deliver high-volume, time-sensitive customer quotes
Verify pricing accuracy, margins, and contract compliance
Coordinate with vendors and internal teams for technical specifications
Ensure fast turnaround times aligned with competitive market demands
Track quote-to-order conversion metrics

Order Processing & Lifecycle Management
Process orders with speed and precision
Monitor order status, shipping, and delivery timelines
Resolve discrepancies and communicate updates proactively
Coordinate between customers, vendors, operations, and accounting

Outside Sales Support

Act as the primary internal partner to Outside Sales
Manage inbound quote requests to free Outside Sales for field activity
Support bid preparation and large project coordination
Maintain CRM accuracy and pipeline documentation
Identify follow-up opportunities and notify Outside Sales of upsell potential

Customer Experience Management

Provide responsive communication in a fast-moving environment
Handle issue resolution with professionalism and urgency
Maintain high service standards to strengthen long-term relationshipsAbility to manage high quote volume daily with short turnaround windowsOperate effectively in a deadline-driven environmentMaintain strong attention to detail while multitaskingSupport multi-state territories with varied customer demandsContribute to improved quote conversion rates and revenue efficiency

Physical Demands/Work Environment

While performing the duties of this job, the individual is frequently required to move about inside the office to access filing cabinets, office machinery, etc. Constantly operates a computer and other standard office equipment such as copy machines, phones, photocopiers, fax machines and computer printers. The staff member in this position frequently communicates internally and externally; must be able to exchange accurate information via phone, email, and/or in person. Specific vision abilities apply including close vision, distance vision, and ability to adjust focus.

This position operates in a clerical office setting. The noise level in the work environment is usually moderate.
