Position Overview
Mister Sweeper removes pollutants, trash, dirt, and debris from city streets and parking lots - keeping those pollutants out of streams, rivers, lakes, and the environment. According to several government studies, street sweeping is the #1 Best Management Practice for reducing stormwater pollution.
We are seeking a faith-driven, bilingual Operations Manager to lead our Houston market operations. This leader will mentor supervisors and field crews, ensure fleet readiness, build strong customer relationships, and maintain operational excellence while upholding the values and culture that have guided Mister Sweeper since 1965.
The Operations Manager serves as the primary operational leader in the Houston market, ensuring that teams, equipment, and customer service standards consistently reflect the company’s commitment to integrity, excellence, and servant leadership. This role requires strong leadership, operational discipline, and bilingual communication skills to effectively support and guide our Spanish-speaking workforce.

Operations Manager Duties and Responsibilities
Operations Leadership
- Lead daily operations in the Houston market with integrity, professionalism, and accountability
- Provide leadership, direction, and mentorship to day-shift and night-shift supervisors
- Support field crews and ensure operational teams are aligned with company values and standards
- Ensure work is performed efficiently, safely, and in accordance with customer expectations
Team Leadership & Culture
- Foster a culture of servant leadership, accountability, and teamwork
- Provide clear communication and leadership to bilingual crews (English & Spanish)
- Develop supervisors and help build strong operational leadership within the team
- Maintain high employee morale and reinforce company values across operations
Customer Relationship Management
- Build and maintain long-term relationships with customers and property managers
- Conduct site visits and property walk-throughs to ensure service quality
- Address client concerns, service adjustments, and operational improvements as needed
- Serve as the primary operational representative of Mister Sweeper in the Houston market
Fleet and Equipment Oversight
- Ensure fleet readiness and coordinate maintenance activities with mechanics and supervisors
- Monitor equipment usage, reliability, and maintenance scheduling
- Ensure vehicles and equipment are maintained in safe and operational condition
Safety and Compliance
- Enforce company safety standards and operational procedures
- Train supervisors and employees on safety policies and quality expectations
- Ensure compliance with DOT, company, and local safety regulations
- Promote a safe working environment across all operational activities
Operational Planning & Performance
- Coordinate schedules and operational planning with supervisors and dispatch teams
- Ensure efficient deployment of crews, vehicles, and resources
- Monitor operational performance and address inefficiencies or service gaps
- Maintain strong communication between management, dispatch, and field teams
Work Schedule
- Monday – Friday daytime schedule
- No overnight shifts required
- No company work from 6 PM Saturday to 6 PM Sunday
- Stable and consistent leadership schedule

Eligibility Requirements
- Texas Commercial Driver License (Class A or B) – Required
- Bilingual – English and Spanish – Required
- Minimum 10 years of leadership and management experience
- Experience managing field crews, logistics operations, fleet operations, or industrial services
- Clean Motor Vehicle Record (MVR)
- Ability to pass background check, drug screening, and DOT requirements
- Strong leadership, accountability, and team-building abilities
- Excellent communication skills with both employees and customers
- Ability to work independently while leading large operational teams
- High level of personal character, integrity, and servant-leader mindset
Preferred Qualifications
- Mechanical or fleet operations experience
- Experience managing logistics, construction, transportation, or industrial service teams
- Strong familiarity with the Houston metropolitan area
- Experience managing large crews and multiple operational shifts
