Intake Team Lead Needed for Busy Plaintiff's Law Firm

Who are we?

Young, aggressive, tenacious, driven, and passionate legal professionals handling personal injury cases on behalf of injured people in Houston and throughout Texas. Our growing firm in the North Loop area evaluates numerous potential clients everyday. We handle serious injury cases, including car accidents, workplace accidents, product liability, and truck accidents.

The Opportunity

We are looking for an experienced leader ready to step into an intake team lead role and strengthen the leadership layer of our intake operation. This is a leadership role that carries real responsibility: you will mentor and support the intake team, handle escalated calls and complex inquiries, and exercise independent judgment in reviewing and signing cases. You will help set the standard for how the firm’s clients experience their first interaction with Armstrong Lee & Baker.

This position requires someone who is sharp, organized, polished in written and verbal communication, and comfortable owning outcomes.

Key Responsibilities

Serve as the first point of escalation for intake assistants—handling complex, sensitive, or high-value inquiries that require elevated judgment
Review, evaluate, and sign qualified cases on behalf of the firm in accordance with established guidelines
Support the daily workflow of intake assistants, providing real-time coaching and quality oversight
Monitor intake metrics, call quality, and conversion performance; identify and address gaps
Lead or participate in intake team training, onboarding of new staff, and process improvement initiatives
Maintain detailed and accurate case notes, summaries, and status records in the firm’s case management system

Who are we looking for?

Bachelor’s degree preferred; equivalent professional experience in a legal or high-accountability client-facing role will be considered
Leadership experience in a legal, client services, or high-volume intake environment—you have supervised or mentored others before
Demonstrated ability to close and sign clients, or strong sales/closing experience that transfers to legal case acquisition
Exceptional written and verbal communication skills—grammar, tone, and professionalism matter in this role
Sharp analytical mindset with the ability to quickly assess facts and make sound judgment calls
High emotional intelligence—you handle difficult, sensitive conversations with composure and care
Strong organizational skills and a detail-oriented approach to documentation and follow-through
A competitive, performance-driven attitude combined with a genuine desire to help injured clients
Comfort with technology, including CRM systems, and standard productivity tools
