Job Summary- NIGHT POSITION

We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated CNC Machinist to join our dynamic manufacturing team. In this role, you will operate, set up, and maintain CNC (Computer Numerical Control) machines to produce precision metal and plastic components. Your expertise in CNC programming, machine setup, and quality inspection will ensure the highest standards of accuracy and efficiency. Duties

Operate CNC milling machines, lathes, grinders, and other machining tools with precision and safety.
Program CNC machines using G-code, M-code, and CAM (Computer-Aided Manufacturing) software to produce complex parts according to detailed blueprints.
Interpret mechanical blueprints and technical drawings accurately to ensure proper machining processes.
Set up machines by installing tooling, calibrating equipment, and performing machine alignments using measurement tools such as calipers, micrometers, bore gauges, and coordinate measuring machines (CMM).
Conduct quality inspections utilizing precision measurement instruments to verify dimensions against specifications and ensure adherence to GD&T (Geometric Dimensioning & Tolerancing) standards.
Perform manual machining tasks when necessary, including lathe turning or grinding for fine-tuning parts.
Maintain a clean and organized work area while adhering to safety protocols; operate forklifts and power tools as needed for material handling and assembly.
Troubleshoot machining issues by analyzing machine performance and making adjustments or repairs; utilize welding skills when required for component repair or modification.
Support lean manufacturing initiatives by identifying process improvements and reducing waste through efficient machine setup and operation.

Qualifications

Proven experience as a CNC Machinist or in a similar manufacturing role with hands-on knowledge of CNC programming (Fanuc controls preferred).
Strong understanding of CAD (Computer-Aided Design) software such as SolidWorks or other design tools for interpreting technical drawings.
Proficiency in CAM programming to develop tool paths for CNC operations.
Skilled in blueprint reading, mechanical blueprint interpretation, and measurement techniques using calipers, micrometers, bore gauges, dial indicators, and coordinate measuring machines.
Knowledge of machining processes including milling, turning on CNC lathes, grinding, welding, and manual machining techniques.
Familiarity with manufacturing standards such as GD&T and M-code programming languages used in CNC G-code programming.
Mechanical knowledge combined with the ability to interpret complex blueprints accurately for precise metal or plastic component fabrication.
Ability to operate various machining tools safely while maintaining high-quality standards; experience with tooling selection and machine setup is essential.
Basic math skills for calculations related to measurements, tolerances, feed rates, speeds, and dimensions.
Physical ability to stand for extended periods; use measurement instruments like micrometers and bore gauges; lift heavy materials when necessary.
