Full Job Description

Summary:

This position is primarily responsible for managing the financial administration of housing and prevention grants management for Allies in Hope to include but not limited to expertise in grant administration, fund development, and compliance. This position ensures that housing and prevention initiatives are both operationally effective and financially sustainable through strategic grant management.

Finance Duties:

1. Oversee the development, implementation, and compliance of housing and prevention grant programs, including Government and Non-Government initiatives such as corporate donations, foundations, and federal/state programs.

2. Develop Government and Non-Government grant budgets with the assistance of the program leadership, finance, and advancement teams.

3. Manage grant budgets, track expenditures, and ensure adherence to federal, state, and local regulations.

4. Prepares/reviews monthly grant billings and budgets, including monitoring contract expenditures and grant financial compliance, reporting any variances to CFO.

5. Coordinate with advancement, finance, program, and compliance teams to meet grant deadlines and reporting requirements.

6. Reviews invoices and supporting documentation for accuracy, verifying that general ledger expense codes are correct, expenses are in agency budget, expenses are in grant budget if billed to a grant, and appropriate approval signatures have been attained.

7. Maintains payments and billings on contracts with partner agencies and vendors where Allies in Hope serves as grantee and monitors partner agencies and vendors for fiscal compliance.

8. Maintains central files of all government contract activities, as well as privately funded grants, for internal tracking and external audit purposes.

9. Helps to ensure agency compliance with fiscal policies and procedures and government contract requirements as they apply to contracts assigned to the agency.

10. Participates in various external audits, preparing schedules and reports and providing other necessary information as requested to facilitate the audit process.

11. Assists CFO in developing appropriate departmental policies and procedures in accordance with generally accepted accounting principles.

12. Documents all aspects of job responsibilities, participating in cross-training as directed by supervisor to assure back-up staffing is available when needed.

13. Assists CFO in assigned projects which support various aspects of agency budget development, revisions, and analysis.

14. Monitors all Personnel Action Forms.

15. Is responsible for month-end closing monitoring.

16. Reviews A/R billings for appropriate coding and to ensure costs are applicable to the funding source.

17. Build and maintain strong relationships with current and prospective funders.

18. Monitor program performance, conduct audits, and address compliance issues promptly.

19. Ensure all housing and prevention programs meet federal/state requirements and grant terms.

20. Prepare reports for internal leadership, funders, and regulatory bodies.

21. Hire, train, motivate, and coach financial grant team: conducting performance evaluations; resolving conflicts; and maintaining high employee morale.

Pay: $95,000.00 per year
