Full Job Description

T Construction is seeking an experienced and motivated Bilingual Underground Utilities Project Manager to oversee multiple underground utility construction projects from start to finish. This position will work closely with engineers, field crews, subcontractors, and clients to ensure projects are completed safely, on schedule, and within budget.

MUST BE ABLE TO TRAVEL TO SAN ANTONIO, TX WEEKLY FOR 2-3 DAYS OUT OF THE WEEK.

THIS POSITION REQUIRES THE ABILITY AND WILLINGNESS TO TEMPORARILY RELOCATE DEPENDING ON PROJECT LOCATION. PROJECTS MAY TAKE PLACE IN DIFFERENT CITIES, AND CANDIDATES MUST BE OPEN TO RELOCATING FOR THE DURATION OF ASSIGNED PROJECTS. HOUSING ASSISTANCE MAY BE PROVIDED WHEN APPLICABLE.

BILINGUAL (ENGLISH/SPANISH) COMMUNICATION SKILLS ARE REQUIRED IN ORDER TO EFFECTIVELY COORDINATE WITH FIELD PERSONNEL, SUBCONTRACTORS, ENGINEERS, AND CLIENT REPRESENTATIVES.

CANDIDATES MUST BE WILLING TO RELOCATE AS NEEDED FOR PROJECT ASSIGNMENTS. APPLICANTS WHO DO NOT MEET THESE EXPECTATIONS ARE NOT ENCOURAGED TO APPLY.

Key Responsibilities

Collaborate with engineers, inspectors, subcontractors, and other project stakeholders to determine specifications and requirements for multiple construction projects.
Negotiate contracts and agreements with subcontractors and vendors to ensure competitive pricing and profitable project execution.
Obtain necessary permits and licenses from appropriate local and regulatory authorities.
Determine required resources—including manpower, equipment, and materials—from project start to completion while staying within budget limitations.
Plan and coordinate all construction operations while scheduling intermediate phases to ensure project deadlines are met.
Procure equipment and materials and monitor inventory levels to prevent delays caused by shortages.
Hire subcontractors and field personnel when needed and assign responsibilities accordingly.
Supervise the work of laborers, operators, mechanics, and subcontractors while providing guidance and support when necessary.
Evaluate project progress and prepare detailed reports for company leadership and clients.
Ensure full compliance with all safety regulations, environmental requirements, and company policies, and report any issues promptly.

Skills & Qualifications

Proven experience as a Construction Project Manager, preferably in underground utilities or civil infrastructure projects.
Bilingual in English and Spanish (required).
Strong understanding of construction procedures, materials, and project management principles.
Familiarity with construction quality control processes and health and safety standards.
Proficiency with Microsoft Office and construction management software.
Excellent communication, leadership, and negotiation skills.
Strong organizational and time-management abilities with the capacity to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
Ability to lead teams in a fast-paced construction environment.
PMP certification or equivalent project management certification is a plus.

Pay: $65,000.00 per year
