Full Job Description

We are seeking an experienced Warehouse Supervisor to lead warehouse operations supporting the production of critical power infrastructure and industrial equipment.

This is an exciting opportunity to join a growing operation where you'll help build efficient warehouse processes, lead a high-performing team, and ensure materials are delivered safely and accurately to production.

Salary: $70,000 - $85,000 per year (DOE)

Position Summary

Responsible for overseeing all warehouse, inventory, shipping, receiving, and material logistics operations within a fast-paced manufacturing environment. This position manages a high-value inventory of components, raw materials, and subassemblies while ensuring inventory accuracy, efficient material flow, and on-time support of production.

This role supervises a team of Material Handlers, Receiving Clerks, and Shipping/Logistics personnel while supporting a multi-shift manufacturing operation.

Responsibilities

Warehouse & Inventory Management

Oversee daily warehouse operations including receiving, shipping, inventory control, and material handling.
Maintain inventory accuracy through cycle counts, physical inventories, reconciliation, and variance investigations.
Coordinate domestic and international inbound shipments while ensuring timely and accurate receiving.
Support production through Just-in-Time (JIT) material staging, kitting, and line replenishment.
Ensure proper FIFO inventory rotation, material traceability, shelf-life compliance, and storage requirements.
Monitor inventory performance and implement corrective actions to maintain high inventory accuracy.

Operations & Leadership

Lead, coach, train, and develop warehouse personnel including Material Handlers, Receiving Clerks, and Shipping associates.
Schedule labor and support multi-shift operations, including weekends as business needs require.
Partner with Production, Planning, Purchasing, and Quality teams to ensure uninterrupted material flow.
Oversee outbound shipments and ensure products are properly prepared for domestic and international transportation.
Monitor warehouse KPIs including productivity, inventory accuracy, dock-to-stock time, and shipping performance.

Safety & Continuous Improvement

Promote a safe workplace while ensuring OSHA compliance and company safety standards.
Utilize Oracle ERP, Warehouse Management Systems (WMS), barcode scanning, and inventory software to maintain accurate inventory transactions.
Drive Lean Manufacturing and 5S initiatives to improve warehouse efficiency and organization.
Participate in root cause analysis and continuous improvement activities.

Qualifications

Required

5+ years of Warehouse Supervisor, Materials Management, Logistics, or Distribution leadership experience.
Experience within manufacturing, industrial, heavy equipment, energy, oil & gas, or Electronics Manufacturing Services (EMS) environments preferred.
Strong background in inventory control, cycle counting, physical inventories, and warehouse operations.
Experience coordinating domestic freight and international shipments.
Working knowledge of Oracle ERP, SAP, or similar Warehouse Management Systems.
Strong Microsoft Excel skills.
Excellent leadership, communication, organizational, and labor planning skills.
Ability to support multiple shifts and weekend operations as business needs require.

Preferred

Experience managing high-value inventory within a manufacturing environment.
Knowledge of international shipping documentation and customs processes.
Lean Manufacturing, Six Sigma, or APICS certification.
Forklift Trainer certification or experience with powered industrial equipment.

Physical Requirements

Ability to work in a fast-paced manufacturing and warehouse environment.
Frequent standing, walking, bending, and occasional lifting up to 50 pounds.
Comfortable working around forklifts, heavy equipment, overhead cranes, and varying warehouse temperatures.
