Summary

About the Position: This position is a DOD Cyber Excepted Service (CES) personnel system position in the Excepted Service under 10 USC 1599f. Employees occupying CES positions are in the Excepted Service and must adhere to U.S. Code, Title 10, as well as Department of Defense Instruction 1400.25. This position is located at Fort Mead, MD.

Duties

Directs and coordinates all administrative functions within the J1; ensures subordinate Divisionsand offices comply with all applicable policies and procedures.
Administers all aspects of personnel management within the operations section of J1.
The Administrative Officer has full responsibility for maintaining the Principal J1’s personal and sensitive daily and long-range calendars events.
Central figure in the Travel Integrated Process Team that assists with making necessary arrangements for frequent and prolonged travel for the J1.
Serves as liaison between the J1and subordinate offices, relaying or obtaining information, scheduling briefings, and transmitting instructions as indicated.

Appointment may be subject to a suitability or fitness determination, as determined by a completed background investigation.
The employee must be able to obtain and maintain a TOP SECRET SCI clearance as a condition of employment and must complete a counterintelligence scope polygraph exam.
This position has been designated as a Testing Designated Position (TDP). Employee must pass initial and periodic random drug testing.
The employee may be required to travel in military and/or commercial aircraft to perform temporary duty assignments.
The incumbent must meet NSA personnel security requirements outlined in NSA/CSS Policy 5-1.
