We are seeking a highly motivated Business Solution Analyst to join our team.
The Business Solutions Analyst is a dual-discipline role serving as the primary interface between technology and business stakeholders for application development, reporting, and quality assurance. This role gathers business and reporting requirements and translates them into functional and technical designs. As a member of a small, combined BA/QA team, the Business Solutions Analyst supports quality assurance across application deliverables, including test planning, execution, and defect management. The role also provides insight and consistency for UI/UX across company websites and applications, champions emerging technologies, analytics, AI, and testing tools, and partners with IT staff to deliver business analysis and requirements gathering.
Business Analysis / Requirements & Process

Provide analysis support and technical direction within the Business Solutions team, preparing highquality deliverables and escalating complex analysis, reporting, and application development issues as appropriate.

Partner with business users, SMEs, stakeholders, the development team, and external vendors to identify needs and improvement opportunities and translate them into detailed business requirements and technical design documentation for coding, testing, and implementation.

Lead the design and support key business decision reports, dashboards, and charts, applying standards for automation, templates, and consistency, and act as a liaison across teams to evaluate processes and initiate system enhancements that streamline processing, reduce costs, and increase user satisfaction.

Identify, evaluate, and embed AIdriven features (e.g., predictive analytics, naturallanguage query, anomaly detection) into products, and leverage AI/generative AI tools to accelerate delivery
Agile/Scrum Delivery, Sprint Management & Backup Scrum Master

Work within Agile/Scrum methodology to support consistent delivery through sprint planning, backlog refinement, reviews, and retrospectives, supporting an operating cadence of releases and maintenance work.

Partner with the Product Owner and team to refine user stories, define acceptance criteria, and align on Definition of Ready/Done, using Jira to manage epics, stories, tasks, defects, and dashboards

Serve as backup Scrum Master as required, facilitating ceremonies, raising delivery risks early, and supporting continuous improvement.
Quality Assurance / Test Planning, Execution, Automation & Defects

Own quality assurance for application development projects, establishing QA standards and release criteria and developing detailed test plans, schedules, and test cases that validate requirements and acceptance criteria.

Execute functional, regression, and endtoend tests, create and maintain reliable automated test suites aligned to regression needs, and maintain traceability matrices to ensure coverage aligns with business needs.

Monitor, triage, and debug issues using Jira for defect lifecycle management, develop defectprevention processes, and research and recommend emerging QA, AI, and testautomation tools to improve team capability and efficiency.

Own UAT for most initiatives, developing the UAT strategy and plan, defining scope and entry/exit criteria, and creating or facilitating UAT scenarios and test cases aligned to endtoend business workflows with traceability to requirements.

Coordinate UAT readiness (environments, access, test data, scheduling), track progress, and lead defect triage with business and IT
Project Coordination / Delivery Management & Critical Thinking

Act as project manager with development partners, coordinating timelines, deliverables, dependencies, and milestones across business, IT, and vendor partners, and maintaining delivery artifacts such as schedules, decision logs, and RAID to drive them to closure.

Facilitate key checkpoints and compile status reports for management covering schedule, deliverable status, risks/issues, and mitigation actions.

Monitor progress against plan and raise early flags when scope, timeline, quality, or cost objectives are at risk.

Bachelor degree in Business/Management, Computer Science, Information Systems, or related discipline required; master’s degree preferred.

Minimum of 8 years of progressive Business System/Informatics/Business Analysis, QA testing experience for application development lifecycles.

QA experience gained through a direct QA role or a combined analyst/QA role.
-
Prior experience collaborating with analysts, business partners, and technical teams to support requirements, testing, and delivery activities strongly preferred.

Handson experience using AI or generative AI tools (e.g., Copilot, ChatGPT/Claude, or similar) to support development, testing, analysis, or documentation preferred.

Longterm care and/or supplemental health insurance industry experience preferred.

Working knowledge of SDLC and Agile/Scrum practices, including sprint execution and Jira for sprint planning, backlog refinement, defect tracking, and reporting.

Strong QA discipline (test planning, traceability, defect triage, and a regression mindset), UAT leadership, and test automation competency, including designing and maintaining automated suites and using results to inform release readiness.

Strong facilitation, organization, and coordination skills (timelines, dependencies, deliverables, and RAID management), paired with critical thinking and risk awareness to proactively identify risks and raise early flags that protect timeline, quality, and cost objectives.

Relevant Certifications preferred: Project Management Professional (PMP), Certified Business Analysis Professional (CBAP) or equivalent work experience required

Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals. Ability to write routine reports and correspondence.

Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written, oral, or diagram form. Ability to deal with problems involving several concrete variables in standardized situations.
