Part-Time Bookkeeper / Office Manager

Pay: Starting at $24.00 per hour

Schedule: M/W/F 9:00am-3:30pm or 8:30am-3:00pm, 18-20 hours per week, days/hours are flexible

This is a temp-to-hire position.

Full Job Description

We are seeking a part-time Bookkeeper / Office Manager to oversee daily accounting and office functions. Responsibilities include managing Accounts Payable and Receivable, payroll, account reconciliations, General Ledger, financial reporting, recordkeeping, and communication with customers and vendors. The position will also assist with administrative and seasonal projects as needed.

Key Responsibilities:

Manage Accounts Payable, including invoice verification, bill entry, and weekly payments.
Manage Accounts Receivable, including customer invoicing, payment posting, aging reports, and credit applications.
Process semi-monthly payroll for 5–7 employees and related federal and state tax filings.
Reconcile monthly bank accounts and maintain the General Ledger.
Prepare monthly financial statements and other financial reports for management.
Maintain accurate electronic and paper accounting files.
Monitor accounting-related emails and respond to customers and vendors as needed.
Assist with inventory purchases and provide order desk coverage when needed.
Gather information for the CPA for tax filings.
Assist with annual holiday/Christmas projects.
Perform other duties as assigned.

Qualifications:

Bookkeeping/accounting experience, including double-entry, accrual, and cash accounting.
Experience with QuickBooks Online, including payroll.
Strong math, analytical, and reconciliation skills.
Proficiency with spreadsheets and 10-key.
Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
Good written and verbal communication skills.
Basic understanding of payroll taxes and financial reporting.
Ability to work independently and maintain confidentiality.
