Full Job Description

Job Overview
We are seeking a detail-oriented and organized Accounts Payable Clerk to join our finance team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for managing the company's accounts payable processes, ensuring timely and accurate payment of invoices, and maintaining financial records. This role requires a strong understanding of financial concepts, excellent communication skills, and proficiency in accounting software.

Responsibilities

Process and verify invoices for accuracy and completeness before payment.
Manage accounts payable transactions, including debits and credits.
Perform account reconciliation to ensure all transactions are accurately recorded.
Assist with payroll management as needed, ensuring compliance with company policies.
Maintain records of accounts payable and related documents in accordance with SOX regulations.
Collaborate with the accounts receivable team to resolve discrepancies and ensure smooth financial operations.
Process Lien waivers for vendors/clients
Maintain subcontractor COIs to ensure they are up to date

Qualifications

Proven experience as an Accounts Payable Specialist or similar role is preferred.
Strong understanding of financial concepts, including debits, credits, and account reconciliation.
Proficiency in Foundations or similar accounting software is highly desirable.
Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills.
Strong analytical skills with the ability to identify discrepancies in financial data.
Effective communication skills, both written and verbal, to interact with vendors and internal teams.
Ability to work independently as well as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.
