Full Job Description

Degree in Radiologic Technology, American Registry for Diagnostic Medical Sonography (ARDMS) Ultrasound certification, and minimum 1+ years Imaging experience required. Applicants who do not meet these qualifications will not be considered.

An exciting opportunity is available for a skilled Ultrasound Technologist to provide general diagnostic ultrasound imaging on a contract basis, supporting emergency department patient care in a contemporary facility with advanced imaging technology.

Schedule/Hours:

12-hour night shifts: 7:00 PM – 7:00 AM, Friday through Sunday (36 hours/week)
On-call requirement: 2 nights per month, chosen by the technologist
Weekend shifts required every Friday, Saturday, and Sunday
Expectation to work approximately 75% of holidays

Qualifications & Experience:

Minimum of 2 years’ experience in ultrasound imaging, preferably within emergency/acute care settings
Certification by the American Registry of Diagnostic Medical Sonographers (ARDMS) or American Registry of Radiologic Technologist (S)
Current BLS certification
Comfortable as a first-time traveler and working night shifts
Radius rule applies: candidate’s permanent address must be at least 50 miles from facility

Key Responsibilities:

Perform high-quality, general ultrasound imaging for a variety of emergency cases (averaging 5 studies per shift)
Contribute to patient flow: assist with rooming, obtaining vital signs, EKGs, and other support tasks as needed
Support colleagues through teamwork—occasional assistance with patient transport or supporting other modalities
Collaborate effectively with emergency department staff and radiology team
Operate Siemens Sequoia ultrasound systems, Epic EMR, and Philips iSite PACS
Adhere to department protocols and provide compassionate patient care

$2,178 - $2,304/Week Estimated weekly earnings represent hourly wages, based on 40 hours per week, and expense reimbursement for eligible candidates. The actual amount may vary based on hours worked, eligibility for reimbursements, and seasonal adjustments.
