Full Job Description

POSITION SUMMARY: Under the direction of the APP Program Manager, the Claim Supervisor - APP will oversee the receipt, processing, calculation, payment, and reporting of monthly claims submitted by childcare providers with contractual requirements, regulations, and Drew CDC policies and procedures. The Claims Supervisor will participate in staff and management meetings and development trainings needs to staff monthly. This position is full time in office M-F.

ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS:

Supervise the payment staff in making sure the claims are received, calculated, and processed timely in accordance with program contractual requirements and regulations.
Achieve performance standards and contract requirements, while providing excellent internal and external customer service to staff and clients.
Address and resolve customer complaints filed and ensure timely and accurate resolution.
Work with team lead in making sure provider payments, new vendors, ACH files are uploaded and sent over to accounting in Administration for payment processing.
Reconcile monthly payments and prepare monthly fiscal reports (with approval from Associate Program Director)
Conduct team meetings.
Identify and coordinate training needs.
Administer performance evaluations on all supervised staff.
Review and audit staff’s completed payments.
Assist in development program operation manual policies and produces and update according as program regulation changes.
Actively participate and represent Drew CDC with funders, stakeholders, professional membership organizations, and community meetings.
Provide staff management following Drew CDC’s Employee Handbook and operational policies and procedures.
Perform other related duties as assigned.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:

BA or BS Degree PREFERRED (verifiable work experience may be substituted for college level education)
Minimum of 2 years’ experience managing a claims processing unit or program with a claims processing unit.
Must have working knowledge and understanding and/or experience working with the Child Care Subsidy Programs.

KNOWLEDGE OF:

Title 5, 22, CDSS regulations, CalWORKs Child Care Subsidy Program regulations, Child Care Assistance program regulations, and CDE Funding Terms and Conditions.
Record-keeping retention and IT security regulations
Business operations and strategic planning
MS Office Suites, computer and database competency

ENVIRONMENT: Primarily in office with some outdoor activity.
