Job Overview

We are seeking a proactive and detail-oriented Accounting Assistant to join our dynamic team. In this vital role, you will support the accounting department by managing financial records, processing transactions, and ensuring accurate data entry. Your organizational skills and technical proficiency will help streamline office operations and contribute to the overall efficiency of our finance functions. This paid position offers an excellent opportunity to develop your accounting expertise within a collaborative environment that values professionalism and growth.

Responsibilities

Maintain accurate financial records using accounting software such as SAP, ensuring all transactions are properly documented and categorized
Assist with data entry tasks related to invoices, payments, and expense reports, ensuring high levels of accuracy and attention to detail
Manage office administrative duties including filing, document proofreading, and organizing spreadsheets for easy retrieval
Support client communication by answering inquiries via phone or email with professionalism and courtesy
Handle front desk responsibilities such as greeting visitors, managing multi-line phone systems, and directing calls efficiently
Coordinate calendar management and schedule appointments for finance team members or clients as needed
Contribute to office management tasks including supply ordering, maintaining organized filing systems, and supporting team members with administrative needs

Experience

Previous clerical or administrative experience in an office setting is highly preferred
Strong computer literacy with proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook) and familiarity with productivity software
Experience using SAP or similar accounting software is a plus
Excellent organizational skills with the ability to prioritize tasks effectively in a fast-paced environment
Bilingual abilities are advantageous for communicating with diverse clients and team members
Demonstrated customer service skills with a friendly phone etiquette and professional demeanor
Capable of handling multiple responsibilities simultaneously while maintaining accuracy and efficiency
Detail Oriented and able to multi-task.
