Full Job Description

Seeking a Full Time Two's Teacher from 7:30 am to 5:30 pm, Monday through Friday.

Vision: Every child in the Treasure Valley has access to quality early care and education and all parents are supported through the early years of parenthood regardless of age or income.

We know by ensuring kids are ready for kindergarten and empowering families, we are building strong futures every day.

Responsibilities

Design and follow a full schedule of teaching and activities using The Creative Curriculum
Use a wide range of teaching methods to enhance children's abilities
Evaluate children’s performance to ensure they're meeting developmental milestones using Teaching Strategies Gold and The Ages and Stages Questionnaire
Communicate with parents & update them on the progress of their child
Collaborate with colleagues

Skills

Proven experience as a child care provider/teacher
Excellent knowledge of child development and current education methods
Patience, flexibility and love for children
Strong communication and time management skills

SUMMARY OF DUTIES:

To be responsible for all aspects of caring for and educating young children
Being aware of all safety and health issues related to caring for young children
Hours of operation are 7:30-5:30 Monday through Friday

MUST HAVE:

High School Diploma
Valid enhanced background check though the Idaho Department of Health and Welfare
Must be enrolled in Idaho STARS within 30 days from date of hire
Current Pediatric first aid/CPR and Infant/Child CPR
Strong communication skills through written, verbal and digital means

PREFERRED:

CDA (Child Development Assoc. Degree). or education in related field
Experience &/or Empathy with persons living in poverty
Experience with Giraffe Laugh ELC & their values and mission
