Associate Licensed Mental Health Therapist / Psychotherapist

Coeur d’Alene, Idaho | Full-Time | $60,000–$75,000 per year

About Voluntas Psychotherapy

Voluntas Psychotherapy is a Coeur d’Alene group psychotherapy practice committed to compassionate, individualized mental health care. We support clients experiencing concerns such as anxiety, depression, trauma, relationship difficulties, behavioral and emotional challenges, identity questions, life transitions, and other issues affecting well-being.

We welcome clinicians with diverse theoretical orientations, specialties, and populations of interest. Depending on training and experience, opportunities may include individual therapy, child and adolescent therapy, couples counseling, and family therapy. Clinicians may draw from CBT, family systems, solution-focused, trauma-informed, existential, psychodynamic, play-based, or other ethical and evidence-informed approaches tailored to client needs.

What We Offer

· Annual salary of $60,000–$75,000, based on experience, licensure, and caseload.

· Clinical supervision and consultation toward independent Idaho licensure.

· Client referrals and support building a sustainable caseload.

· Administrative support for scheduling, billing, credentialing, and practice operations.

· A professional office environment in Coeur d’Alene with opportunities for in-person and telehealth psychotherapy.

· Regular team consultation, professional development, and opportunities to help shape clinical programs and practice culture.

· Autonomy to integrate your training, strengths, and therapeutic interests within ethical and evidence-informed care.

Primary Responsibilities

· Provide outpatient psychotherapy to individuals, children or adolescents, couples, and/or families according to training, competence, and clinical interests.

· Conduct intake interviews, diagnostic assessments, treatment planning, and ongoing clinical evaluation.

· Maintain a consistent caseload and provide reliable, client-centered continuity of care.

· Complete accurate and timely progress notes, treatment plans, and other required clinical documentation.

· Assess risk, follow established crisis procedures, and coordinate higher levels of care when clinically indicated.

· Collaborate with supervisors, colleagues, medical providers, and community professionals when appropriate and authorized.

· Participate in clinical supervision, case consultation, team meetings, and continuing education.

· Follow HIPAA, Idaho licensing rules, professional ethics, payer requirements, and Voluntas Psychotherapy policies.

Required Qualifications

· Master’s or doctoral degree in counseling, clinical mental health counseling, social work, marriage and family therapy, psychology, or a closely related behavioral health field.

· Active or immediately eligible Idaho associate-level credential, such as LPC, LMSW, LAMFT, Licensed Psychological Associate, or another qualifying supervised mental health credential.

· Eligibility to practice psychotherapy under an approved Idaho supervisor and to enroll with applicable insurance networks.

· Strong clinical judgment, professional boundaries, communication skills, and commitment to ethical practice.

· Ability to complete timely documentation and use electronic health record, scheduling, and telehealth systems.

· Ability to pass required background and credentialing checks.

Preferred Qualifications

· Experience providing outpatient mental health counseling or psychotherapy to one or more populations, including adults, children, adolescents, couples, or families.

· Training or interest in approaches such as CBT, family systems, couples therapy, play therapy, trauma-informed care, existential therapy, logotherapy, psychodynamic therapy, or other evidence-informed modalities.

· Interest in developing a clinical specialty and contributing ideas to a collaborative group practice.

· Comfort working both independently and as part of a consultation-oriented team.
